Xbox One - Apps Failing on Launch

I have had some pretty frequent and recent issues with new apps failing on launch.

I wonder if my Xbox One is starting to fail or is too old?

For example, I run the Spectrum TV app on a daily basis.

And even though I know my internet is 99%, I have frequent trouble streaming with this app.

I have also had trouble with this app crashing on launch.

Second example, I just tried to download and install the two FitBit apps.

FitBit and FitBit Coach.

The Coach app works as expected.

The FitBit app crashes on launch.

I might expect this on a PC, which would allow me to troubleshoot it.

But on a console, your options to troubleshoot are limited.

I just did a factory refresh, formatted the drive and everything.

The unit is probably five years old (at least).

Any advice?

Is Microsoft trying to get me to update (replace) my console?

As you have already power cycled and factory reset, have you perhaps cleared the cache?

Sometimes old files can cause games/apps to crash. This might be the solution.

I am pretty sure the factory reset and the format of the drive would have cleared any 'cache'.

But I did find references online for the process, and did complete those steps.

It did not fix the immediate issue.

I have now gone onto the FitBit forum and it seems like FitBit knows this is a problem, and is choosing to ignore it.

The forums agree that everyone can get FitBit Coach to work, but not the FitBit App.

Hi, thankyou for the reply.

I have installed the most recent update for MS10 and now the xbox app fails to launch.

Edit: got the xbox app launched eventually and still the same issue with the E: drive.

Having same problem here. Noticed it recently. When starting apps - they will freeze on the splash screen. The only way to get them to load is to press and hold the Xbox power button, completely restart and try again. Seems to have started after a recent
update - since I had console since launch and never had this problem before.
