Xbox one annoying rattle while streaming content

Hi there.

This is my first post and I'm hoping someone can help me solve a really annoying problem.

My Xbox One has developed a very annoying rattle/whine noise that only seems to be present while streaming content such as box sets. If I'm gaming, it doesn't do it.

Having Google'd it, I keep seeing thread mentioning 'coil whine' so whats the cure for this as I simply cannot watch content with the noise constantly whining away.

Issue with Xbox one headset

To all who search and find this, I have found the answer....it's a design fault. If you slide the ear piece right down to the bottom position on the headset the sliding mechanism rattles. It doesn't rattle in any other position setting so just click it up
one place to stop the annoying rattle.

 

X1 plays CDs and supports DLNA

I suspect it's quite basic - looks like the Media Server and XBMC will stay for a while

 

Have you tried performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this?

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Not sure it will help as I have not heard of this issue before but I guess it is worth a try.
