XBox One and Win 10 XBox App show 2 new messages, but no new messages exist.

Both the Xbox app in Windows 10 and my Xbox One show a notification of 2 new messages, but there are no messages there. I've also checked to make sure I do not have any old XBox 360 messages that could be showing up as notifications. My profile at XBox.com
shows no new messages, and no new friend requests. I've tried logging out of and back into the XBox app, as well as removing my profile from and re-adding it to my XBox One. Neither of those solved the issue.

Xbox One Clubs - Chat Broken

Hey all,

For the last few weeks now the Chat section of our Xbox Club has not been working.

On Xbox One the chat history is shown, but the box you type a new message in constantly says "Connecting..." and is greyed out.

On Windows 10 - Xbox App - the chat messages and message of the day do not show, but the new "type new message" box does. submitting a new message here goes through, but isn't shown in the Xbox App, but is visible on the Xbox One.

On Mobile - iPhone Xbox App - neither the message history or the new message box are shown, instead, an infinitely spinning loading icon is displayed in the middle of the page.

I've gone through the entire chat history deleting all the messages to see if there was a problem with one of them, but this has not cleared the issue. I have also tried visiting other clubs on all 3 devices, but other clubs chat seems to work fine.

Not sure I can link to my club here, but the club name is "Itchy Trigger Finger Nerds". any help is much appreciated.

Do I have an account issue??

Quick question- every time I log onto xbox I get the same notification of a "new" message and I'm unable to like or comment on anyone's post???

The message I've probably checked 100 times and it always shows as new. This is also happening on the xbox app on my Windows 10 phone and laptop (cant like or comment, same old post shows as new) I can play online just fine, download and purchase games etc. It's been like this since the 27th of Dec and I have no idea, need advice. Reformatted my xbox already.

I have no messages on Xbox.com and my Xbox app on my phone has always showed unread messages while my console would not show any messages. I have already tried removing my account and adding it back but this did not work either. I recently upgraded from
an Xbox One to an Xbox One X and it still displays that I have one new message.

Two things to try. The first one fixed this issue for me.

1. Complete these steps:

Go to Settings

Go to System (Depending on which Win10 version you have, you might need to skip this and click Apps instead)

Go to Apps & features

Find Xbox

Click Advanced Options

Click theReset button you see there.

If that doesn't work, you could try:

2. Go to the Windows Store and find Xbox (beta) and download that.

Hi , thanks for the reply , I have the same issue , each time I attempt to send a message on the Xbox app for win10 i get We coudn`t send this . Try again later , and when i check my messages i get
Try again - we had trouble getting your conversations' this is all on Win10 , should I check the NAT type on my computer ?
