    Xbox One and Superhub 2

    Hi,

I've had my Xbox one since beginning of march now. I've also got virgin media and the super hub 2.

Since then, when I play games like FIFA 14, I just randomly disconnect in the middle of a game for about 10 seconds, resulting in me getting a loss. This is extremely annoying. (It's other games as well, not just FIFA 14)

I've read up and seen a few problems are because of the super hub 2, but no fix has ever worked for me, except playing my xbox with a wired connection, which frankly I don't want to do as I don't want a wire running all through my house and down stairs etc.

Has anyone else experienced this and actually got a fix for this problem???

Annoying paying £450+ for a console that doesn't even work.

    :)

Are you on Virgin Media? Having issues staying connected? Read here!

The issue has been escalated to Technical Resources who are investigating connectivity issues in the IPv4 Protocols of the Xbox One between Virgin Media' Superhub 2 and Xbox One.

Constantly losing connection to Live when playing CoD Advanced Warfare

Are you using a virgin superhub 2?

If so according to a thread I saw on the virgin forums there is a problem with the wireless on this router that causes regular disconnections with the xbox one.

    There here

It is quite a lot thread though but read through and see if it helps.

I found connecting to 2g instead of 5g was more reliable but still had some issues but no sheer near as often

  7. Have a go at changing the wireless channel that the router uses, some channels are prone to less interferance than others from neighbours etc (explanation can be found on the internet), try 'Channel 11'.

Go to your router settings through your internet browser on computer:-

    Advanced settings

    Wireless radio

Change channel in the flip down menu to 11 or 1 or 6

Also try changing 'Wireless mode' to 144mbps for potential better performance as it is doubtful you need 300mbps.

Also make sure you don't have direct sunlight on the router...

I have these settings and it is very stable using wireless and get full speed - Hope it works for you Xbox One and Superhub 2 :)

Note: i'm still using xbox 360 not xbox one, but should be the same either way.

Will try that Jonny, if all else fails I may just have to resort to using wired again

  9. Also, if the above post doesn't help or you never get to the bottom of your problems, i would highly recommend 'Powerline Adaptors' which are very stable and get around the issue of running a cable upstairs as they use the electrical circuit of the house.
    - Trust me they are amazing and work very very well.

Personally i have used 'Netgear' ones and never had a problem and these days cost about £30-£40 in the UK for a basic pair.

If you need more info on these let me know or obviously the internet is full of info regarding this stuff.

Try setting up a static ip address for your xbox one and then open the ports that the xbox requires, mine is a lot more stable since doing this

I have the Super hub 2 also. You should definitely setup the Xbox One with a wired connection. I have mine connected via a 30m cable and have no issues at all. I would only ever use wireless as a last resort.

I've tried most fixes to no success.

Just rang Xbox support once again to only be told there is no solution other than a wired connection which I really do not want to do
