XBOX ONE and RCA AUDIO question

I have some speakers, that currently, on my 360, use two RCA cables that go from the adapter (which is this: RCA
Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
) to my speaker system via the AUX RCA at the back top of my speakers, this allows me to have full native 5.1 surround sound on the 360.

However...I notice on the back of the XBOX ONE it's just HDMI and S/PDIF or whatever is...so my question is, how can i get my speakers working with the current setup?

I've heard i would need something like this perhaps from googling around:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/HDMI-Composi.../dp/B00DSSCBZ8

So i'd stick a HDMI from the back of the Xbox One, into this thing, then use the RCA cables to go from that coverter to the back of my speakers, would this work as intended?

If not, what shall I do/need?

Thanks in advance, will provide screenshots if needed.

    :)

    Xbox One Stereo Adapter

So i'm considering getting an Xbox One, but from what i understand you need this adapter to use a headset? My current setup with my 360 uses a monitor, with my headset plugged into a RCA audio adapter, as my monitor dosen't have RCA connections.

My question is how will i use my current headset with the X1 as this dosen't have a AV connection for my audio adapter.

  3. Stereo sound for Xbox One

There are a few options to get audio output to RCA (red & white) speakers with the Xbox One.

    - If your HDTV has an audio output port for external speakers, usually in the form of a 3.5mm jack or separate RCA outputs, you can configure your TV to disable the built-in speakers and output all audio to what's connected to that output.

    - Xbox One has an optical port for digital audio output. Personally, that's how I get my audio going to my soundbar. If your speaker system has an optical port, you might be in luck.

    - There are various, specialized adapters you can get online, like HDMI-in to HDMI-out (video) + RCA (audio).

    Hope this helps!

I wouldn't do that since even with your 360 setup your not getting actual 5.1 just whatever upmix your 5.1 speakers do with stereo RCA audio. I would look on the back of your TV if there is a RCA out or 3.5mm out to avoid buying an converter you might not
    even need.

If you still need RCA stereo I would grab a S/PDIF to RCA stereo converter that just does audio since you don't need the video signal converted.

my only question to you would be how do you get the video from the HDMI? You would have to use the RCA for the video too... Might I suggest purchasing a receiver with HDMI in and out on it to run your speakers. www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=sr_1_18

What do you mean how do i get the video? I have the HDMI going from the back of my 360 to the tv, i then use that RCA Audio Cable Adapter to stick my wires in, then they go to the AUX slots (L/R) on my speaker system, has worked fine for all my games so
    far.

    @smiling cat

Is it only a upmix? Oh, well, it does the 5.1 job well enough for my needs, i can hear locational based movements/cars/sounds where they "should be" so for me it's proper multidirectional.

Just to clarify, nothing sound related is coming from the TV it self with my current 360 setup, the HDMI goes into the the 360, then i use the above method directly from the 360 into my speakers.

    Perhaps pics would help?

All i'm really asking is what i would need to mimic my current setup, as there is not A/V adapter slot/RCA thing on the X1, hence which has me confused, i'm guessing that the adapter i linked RCA/HDMI would work fine for my needs, as the 5.1 is handled vie
the AUX slots of the LEFT/RIGHT which thus goes through to a upmixed 5.1. I would just need a second HDMI cable to go from the X1 to the adapter, then plug my wires in and into the AUX slots and all is good, which AFAIC tell...should work fine.

Question About New Headset Adapter Before I Purchase.

As seen on MS Official Site for the Adapter:

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio
will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter.
For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)
