    Xbox One and Projectors

I just wanted to know if Microsoft is going to update the list for Epson Projectors? I currently run an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 8350. The 8350 is a fairly new projector, but the Xbox One has the 7350 model which was released in 1999. Makes zero sense
to me why you would release a machine like the Xbox One with out dated equipment. If this is suppose to be the all in one Home entertainment system, then it should include all TV & projector brands & models. Please update ASAP. Thanks

    :)

The response time of the PT-AE7000 when set to "game" mode is reasonable. Not amazing, not terrible. I believe the Rockband calibration numbers put it at between 35-45ms.

When watching movies and TV, sports or otherwise, I have it set to "Cinema 1" and have enabled the frame creation function. It's silky smooth and looks amazing. It takes a bit to get used to it though, and some people don't like it. Google the soap opera
    effect to get more info.

I don't, but I'm looking to buy one in the future. Right now the JVC DLA-X30 is my favourite for performance and value. Having seen front projection systems at various dealers and talking with calibrators I've decided that front projection is the way to
go for the ultimate visual experience.

I had the same problem, and I found a work around.

On the Xbox One, go to settings->TV->Devices

Enter your device as an "Epson EMP745". That model uses the same IR code for power as the 8350.

To get power down to work, I had to disable the confirmation prompt on the 8350. It's under Menu->Settings->Display...->Standby Confirmation. Turn the standby confirmation to Off.

In case you are curious, look up this phrase "NEC-Format (Custom Code = 8355h)" to find the projectors that use the same IR signals as the 8350.

Also, make sure to go to XboxOne->Settings->TV->Power Settings to make sure the Xbox can power off your projector.

    Enjoy!

How did you find this? Trial and error? I have an Epson powerlite 5020ub, and the Xbox will turn it on, but nothing happens when I turn the Xbox off.

I searched for my projector model and 'IR Code' and found a post on AVForums with the that string "NEC-Format (Custom Code = 8355h)".

When I did a search for that I lucked into a product manual for a different projector, which I guessed was compatible. It's not perfect though, I noticed when I say "Xbox mute" it switched the video input, but I just really wanted power on and power off.

Watched a 3d bluray this weekend on our projector and it worked perfectly, the Xbox one even automatically put the projector in 3d mode.

Need to Hook X Box One Up to Speakers

The Xbox One is hooked up to a projector. I tried running the red and white audio wires from the projector and then directly to the speakers. I do not have it hooked up to a TV. I am using a projector with a screen on the wall. Still no sound from the
home theater speakers, there is sound coming out of the projector.

XBox One Problems with Pioneer VSX-324-K-P

By "beamer", do you mean a projector? What is the model number of your projector?

What is also the resolution you are running your Xbox at? 720p? 1080p? 4K (if an Xbox One S)?

    XBox One w/ Receiver Setup

I'm assuming you want the direct feed to the projector to eliminate input lag from using the receiver? Your projector has two HDMI In ports to achieve this (one for the receiver, one of the Xbox One)?

Or do you plan to plug the receiver into the Xbox One HDMI In?

Xbox One won’t connect to Samsung Freestyle projector

Hi Alexus. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

Which Xbox One model do you have? Is it the original Xbox One, the Xbox One S, or the Xbox One X?

What happens when you connect it to the projector? Does the projector just display no signal?

    Thanks,
    Kyle
