Xbox One and network drive ?

Hi, Can the Xbox One connect wirelessly to a drive containing movies have attached to my wireless router ?.. my TV is able to stream wirelessly from this drive also tablets etc.

It is 10am 27th of October - where is the promised driver and the promised Xbox Accessories App?

"You must update the drivers:

Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click "Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows" > Update Driver Software > Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software"

This fixed the audio issue I was having with the controller connected via the Wireless Adapter (it worked via USB but not wirelessly until I manually updated said network adapter driver). Thanks!

It should be able to recognize a network drive through media player. Haven't tried it personally, but there is the capability it should be able to do. You may have to configure the network drive to being a shared drive, but that should be possible in the
app.

Screenshots and clips are uploaded on the Xbox network, but if you saved ones to an external hard drive, disconnect that drive.

If you want to export the clips and screenshots from the Xbox network you can do it using the Xbox console companion app on PC

If you don't have an external hard drive you could use instead of the flash drive, you can use a network transfer to move the games instead of redownloading them. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/enable-network-game-transfer-xbox-one

In theory you can simply plug in the external USB drive from your original Xbox One into one of the Xbox One S' USB ports.

However, if the drive is "fitted" to plug into the side of the original Xbox One's side port (like this enclosure here for example) you would need a
USB 3.0 compliant extension cord. Treat the enclosure like a "regular" external USB drive, and connect the USB plug of the enclosure to the USB extension cord and the extension cord to
the Xbox One S.

If you don't like this "dirty" solution, you can simply buy another USB3.0 compliant USB hard drive, plug that into the One S, have the console format it as game storage, and then use the

Network Transfer to transfer the games from the Xbox One to the Xbox One S via your home network, instead of downloading the games through the Internet.
