    Ive recently had a crazy incident while gaming online, which seemed like someone was able to hack into my tv. Could be possible through gaining access to my ip address and into my router, which is hooked up through ethernet cable to my tv xbox. I was
    a able to catch a part the incident, more like i got pranked. But through the capture feature with the console. Was funny at first Seemed funny like at first but then just pissed me off.. to me it seemed very obivous was just been trying to mess with my
    screen while with was playing, was turning on and off my tv. And other ****.. . Which is annoying already. Is it possible for someone to take control of a tv's functions, through the direct connection to the router?? Never had anything like this happen to
    me before, not really worried but am very curious to have an answer, if someone knows if that is possible..

    That is definitely not true. It is possible, which is why you’ll find many smart tv with anti virus and fieewalls. If its connected to the internet, someone can get in

    Xbox is heavily locked down, its probably the leadt likelybthing you own to cause an issue.

    Is it likely? No. Theyd need to know your specific TV and all sorts of other things no one is going to go through the effort to find out just to prank people over xbox. The effort is massive for very little gain.

    You are going to get massive latency if you game over a VPN.

    They are only good if you want to access stuff not available in your country, but if think they are more secure, you are sadly mistaken.

    I don't believe anyone can gain access to the TV through the xbox. I'm guessing its someone just messing with you through an app or else someone you live with
