Xbox One and Comcast XG1-A Cable Box not allowing OneGuide to work

    Hello Xb1er's,

I just got Comcast Cables new XG1-A Cable Box installed today and it is working fine with watching TV but the OneGuide and Voice commands are not recognized. I tried automatically setting it up but the commands didn't work. Only the XG1-P is showing up in
    devices. Here are my specs.

Comcast Cable East Coast XG1-A Reciever. Model Number: MX011ANM

I am guessing that Xbox just hasn't come out with a software update to work with this cable box. I maybe wrong though. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Peace

    :)

Need Code For Comcast Xfinity X1 Platform

I think this will fix most of your problem. I was having the same issue with my Xfinity XG1-A cable box. The Xbox Kinect has IR blasters that emits the IR codes. Try placing the Kinect in front or near your cable box and try to send a command via voice
    or Xbox oneguide.

I used the Comcast model: x1

    Good luck.

    X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

Wassup fellas, in order for your X1 to work with xbox 1, you have to do everything manually. the model # to your cable box is under the power button (XG1-A)

  5. Try manually entering the IR code as

    Make: Comcast

    Model: Motorola

Although the STB is made by Pace (not Motorola) (I think it is distributed by Motorola). If that does (or not) please post back with yay or nay.

  6. In addition to what Hermes suggested, I think the XG1 box is also called the "X1", correct?

    Have you tried make=Comcast, model=X1?

In our April update, we have a new device DB, so if you run through setup again with make=Comcast, things should be easier to set up.

Hello, not sure what I'm doing wrong bit can't get this to work! The Oneguide shows up gone, but I can't change the channel. I've tried just about everything and not sure what else to try. Using XG1A (Code 1982), IR cable and Dynex dxpdp4209 (code 2042)
I've tried all these suggestions and a few others in some other parts of these forums. I'm at a loss on why this won't work.

  9. rjb89, that is very strange. C1982 is literally the only codeset that controls the X1 (aka XG1A) and is captured directly from the XR2 remote.

Are you sure the IR extension cable is in the correct location? Does the XR2 remote work fine?
