    Xbox One and Comcast X1 box


    I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I just bought the Xbox one without a Kinect and am trying to get my comcast box set up on here. I have tried everything, I have tried Comcast and X1 and Xfinity and x1 and my xbox will not change the channel
    when I select it with my controller from the OneGuide. Help would be appreciated!

    X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

    For some reason the xbox one won't recognize my Xfinity X1 Platform box to switch channels on my cable box. Anybody else having this problem with the smaller buddy boxes as Comcast call them? I've tried entering Xfinity & Comcast and still nothing.

    Need Code For Comcast Xfinity X1 Platform

    I got the new X1 platform from Comcast about a few months ago. I tried getting the Xbox One to recognize the box but it doesn't. I typed and chose Xfinity and Comcast to send the command but still nothing. Is the new X1 platform from Comcast compatible with
    Xbox One yet? If it s does anybody have the code?

    I just say "Xbox watch HBO" or whatever channel I feel like watching. Comes up immediately. Very handy. You should probably just use your TV remote.

    Yeah, you need Kinect for this. That's where the IR blaster (the thing that acts like a remote) is. Xbox doesn't have a way of sending a signal to your cable box without it.

    It's a great feature, though, so you might want to see if you can score a Kinect cheap online.

    X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

    I have the X1 Comcast DVR box too. Trying to set it up with XBOX ONE. The HDMI Out from the comcast box is going into the HDMI IN for XBOX ONE. I see no signal. Comcast confirms me that they are able to ping the box and signal is fine. Am I missing a setting
    that I have to do in XBOX ONE to make it working? Asking for help?

    I have Comcast as well with the X1 platform. When I was having problems I used the C1982 code for my cable box to allow my Xbox One to work with my X1 platform buddy box. It's been working flawless since then and I have a day one lunch console.

    Live TV input to XBOX ONE looks darker than expected.

    I'm noticing my Cable is darker (crushed blacks) and the picture quality is degraded (more pixelated, improper color gamut) when plugging my X1 Comcast cable box directly into the Xbox one when compared to just plugging in my cable box directly to the TV.

    The Xbox one at least for the X1 cable box is not correctly passing through the cable it is somehow degrading the signal.
