Xbox one and 360 problems

Hello I'm having real problems with both my Xbox one and 360. I'm hoping someone can help me out as ive spoke to Xbox and also to my internet provider (Sky) but still the problem remains.

For months since I got my Xbox one I only played that, and had no problems getting online. The nat type was open and I could play gta online and Fifa fine. However during that time I tried to play my 360 occasionally buy it would never work. I tested the
connection and it always said matchmaking alert. I wasn't that bothered so I just went back into the Xbox one.

the last few days I've deperstely wanted to play red dead on the 360 since the multiplayer is fixed by rockstar again. This is when the problems started. I went onto the 360 and tested the connection, and everything was fine/up. But when I went onto multiplayer
I could only be in a free roam on my own, couldn't join other games and nobody could join mine either!

i checked my nat setting on the Xbox one and that was still open, so I assume my 360 is open too? I've tried various YouTube videos on messing around with router settings etc but nothing has worked.

im at a loss so have reset my router back to original settings.

Please can somebody give me directions on how to get my 360 working, im not massively into the technical stuff so try and explain it as best you can!!

Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

So for me,the choice is easy.

 

Evolve Open Beta download issues

Xbox one and Xbox 360 xbox live is having problems still like download evolve open beta is not download

 

Setup a port forward in your router to allow incoming connections for multiplayer games, VOIP, DVR, and security cameras.

This website is a godsend at doing something called opening ports on your router. Each service has a port that comes either open on your router or it can be closed this not allowing that service to operate properly. Sky routers in my experience are crap.
I had endless problems with my sky when I was with them. Closed nat then open then closed again. Half the service speed I should ha been getting the Xbox live been completely unusable for days at a time.

Just a quick question before you go messing around with your router, have you tried any other 360 games? As I'm sure I heard somewhere they closed the red dead servers.

If you have try the ports and get back in touch I'm sure we will all chip in and get you running again.

I`ve had a similar problem with RDR, I could not get into multi-player from the main menu.

However, I found that if you start a single player game and then open the in game menu and choose multi-player I could get to it from there.

Problem solved.
