    Xbox One and 360 app activation inquiry


    The apps on the Xbox One or the 360 require an initial activation. Does that activation carry over from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One? Are app activations tied to the gamer tag or the console?

    For example, the 360 has Starz play app, the Xbox One just got that app. I have my current 360 activated and want to get an Xbox One, will the Xbox One require additional activation or will it work after installation? I have other apps I'm curious about
    as well. If the activation is linked to the gamer tag, would that mean future Xbox One releases of the hbogo app or the ShowTime anytime app work the same way?

    Hopefully someone can help me.

    WatchDisneyJunior app refuses to activate

    I've downloaded the WatchDisneyJunior app on my 360. I ran through the Sign In with your TV provider wizard in th app, entered my TV provider and activation code at
    Disney Junior Activate.

    Then I get redirected to sign in with my TV provider, which works fine. Then I get a successful activation message on
    Disney Junior Activate.

    Great.

    Back on my Xbox 360, it's still sitting at the Activate screen with the code and the activation never completes on the console.

    I've tried getting a new code, clearing the app cache, deleting & reinstalling the app, rerunning the activation process repeatedly, nothing works.

    Also, I have 2 xbox 360 consoles and this is the same behavior on both consoles. The regular Disney Channel app activates just fine.

    Any ideas? I have a valid Gold subscription & participating TV provider.

    Got randomly signed out of 360 YouTube app and cannot sign in again

    As title. I got signed out after a couple of hours of inactivity. I have gone through the activation process multiple times as well as reinstalling the app multiple times. I have checked my google account after activating and my 360 youtube app link is
    listed as "verified". Yet when I go to restart the app I am not signed in and told to go through the activation process again, which has no effect! What's going on?

    The apps would need to be activated on each separate console as they are not connected. Just follow the instructions on screen when you start it up.

    The xbox.com site only shows info from the 360 at the moment. Not XBox one activity shows on the site yet. Only way to see the activity is on the xbox one it self of on the smartglass app.
