    Xbox One Cable/Directv Question

Yeah, all you need is your cable box (your Directv DVR is a cable box, so don't be confused by the name) and an hdmi cable (probably what you are using currently to hook your Directv box to the tv now. If not, you can buy ones for about $15 nowadays). Hook
the hdmi cable to the hdmi out plug on the cable box and the hdmi in on the Xbox, Then, hook your xbox to the tv with the hdmi provided with the xbox, and you're done.

I'm having the same issue, but I get about 45sec to 2 min, then a 2-3 sec pause. If I just use the cable box without the xbox one involved, its just fine. Swapped HDMI cables with a "high end" HDMI, still the issue is there, I also cut power to the xbox
one for 15 min and reset up, still the same issue.

    Hey there!

If by "15mt" you are referring to 15 meters, you can use that length HDMI cable, yes. Make sure that your HDMI cable is either HDMI High Speed or HDMI Premium certified though! If you experience a drop in quality, you'll want to consider a shorter cable
for optimal use. XBOX one and 15 mt HDMI cable :)

    Connection

    It's very odd.

Make sure to plug the cable in the HDMI port closer to the power port. Remember than one is HDMI OUT and the other is HDMI IN. I'm quite sure you already know this, but it is worth mentioning.

Make sure to use the provided HDMI cable or a HDMI 2.0 compatible cable that supports 4K @ 60Hz. Other cables may not work because they need a bigger bandwidth.

Try doing a power cycle by removing the Xbox One X power cable from the console for 15 seconds and then turning it on again.

    Let us know! :)

Connecting xbox through AV Receiver? Issues

    Hi

Can you add a bit more information, detail the cabling etc.

    Is it like this:-

    XBOX ONE --------hdmi cable--------> TV

    this works fine, but

XBOX ONE-------hdmi cable---------> Yamaha amp -------hdmi cable-------> TV

    doesn't work?
