    Xbox one affected by lightning


    recently my house was hit by lightning and it ruined a lot of electronics in my house. So my Xbox seems to work fine except for the hdmi. When I plug my Xbox into the wall, I’m able to press the power button and the Xbox actually comes on. The white light
    glows and the Xbox sounds like it’s running. But my tv the im testing it on says no signal. So I’m thinking the hdmi port is blown. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. The TV my Xbox was connected during the storm was completely fired and is dead btw.
    I tested my Xbox on a diff, untouched tv.

    Can I Put Old Xbox S HDD Into New Xbox S?

    I have an older Xbox 360 S that seems to be running slower and freezing more often. It's doing this after incurring a power surge during a lightning storm that neccessited it be repaired by Microsoft. So now I'm considering moving my data to a new console.
    Can I just physically move one Xbox 360 S hard drive into another Xbox 360 S? Would this be best or could the lightning have affected the old HDD in some way to make things run slow? Should I just use the approved data transfer cable? Your answer will be much

    Can you try the following first (after checking that you actually use the HDMI OUT port of the console, not the HDMI IN port):

    Eject the disc if there is a disc in your console.

    Then hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds.

    After the console has shut down, press and hold both the Eject button and the power button. The console should beep, just as it usually does when powering on. Keep holding Eject and power.

    After about 10 seconds, the console should beep a second time, and you can let go of Eject and power.

    Does the console show a low resolution image? If so, try to go to the settings and set the console back to a resolution your TV supports.

    If the console does not show an image after that, your console needs to be repaired. You can start the process at https://devicesupport.microsoft.com
