Xbox one add on will download but not install. Help!

Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Advanced Settings.

Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Allow the console to restart when prompted.

Thanks. Still does not import. Will go thru the download screen, then the import screen and then get a message that download failed.

You can try with a soft reset!

The first step in resetting an Xbox is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

Press the home button on your Xbox controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

Press the A button to select the gear icon.

With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

Press the A button to open the ​System submenu.

With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

Thanks for your response. If your DLC or add-ons are shown as installed, then the game may have issues with recognizing the DLC. To check if your console has installed the content, check out this article:

Find your games and add-ons on Xbox One. If the content is installed, you may want to reach out to the developer of GTA V for additional help and steps.

When you get your replacement Xbox console, setup your profile. Next go to Settings and set your replacement Xbox One as your "My Home Xbox One". Now go to My Games & Apps. All games you previously downloaded will be to the far right and will be transparent
with a cloud icon stating ready to install. Just click on each of them and install. After the game is installed, click the Menu button and select Show All Add-Ons and you can re-install each add on you purchased. This is essentially the download history process.
