  1. Xbox One Adapter game and chat volume the same?

I bought a pair of XO 7s and I was told that I could mix the game and chat volume with the new Xbox One adapter. This is not working for me. I press the game button and try to turn it up, it works fine, but then I press the chat button to turn people
up, it turns the game volume up with it. Its like the two buttons are doing the same thing. If I press either button, the game and chat volume will go up and down together. I turn the game volume all the way down and I cant hear anyone speak. I turn the chat
all the way down and I cant hear the game. Is there something wrong with my adapter? If anyone is having problems with this I found a work around. Turn your headsets up so you can hear people talk and then go into the settings of your game and turn the master
volume down so the game is not to loud.

    :)

Did you update the controller with the headset adapter plugged in via USB?

I have the Xbox One Stereo headset with the adapter, and for me if I push the controller looking button it turns game volume up and voice volume down, if I push the little person looking button it does the opposit. Seems to be about 15 steps total across the board.

The right side of the adapter is for Overall Volume, the left side controls what percentage of chat volume (bottom) and game volume (top) is heard.

Xbox One Adapter game and chat volume the same?

The Volume + and - raises and lowers ALL volume. The Game and Chat buttons adjust the mix between the two. That means, repeatedly press the Game button to raise the Game volume, in relation to chat. Press the chat button repeatedly to raise the chat volume.
This is completely independent of the volume.

This of it like a mixing board. You have a slider for the Game track, a slider for the Chat track, and a Master volume slider.

@Skitals, that's wrong. Pressing the game button, then pressing the volume up and down buttons will only change the game audio. Pressing the chat button, then pressing the volume up and down buttons will only move the chat audio. Default when plugging
the adapter in is game audio. @x1Hx Sounds like there might be a problem with the XO-7's mic being recognized by the adapter. My beats were doing the same thing until I got a mic that was compatible. Also make sure your security preferences under settings
is set to Everyone under in game chat and not just Friends.

    Stereo headset volume issue

    Hi Optical,

If you are talking about the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, we have two of them and both seem to work very well. Pressing the plus (+) button makes the overall (Party Chat and Game) volume to go up. And, of course pressing the minus (-)
button makes the overall volume go down. However, the Party Chat and Game buttons work more like a cross-fader. Repeated pressing on the Party Chat[+] button makes the Party Chat volume go up, while at the same time making the Game volume go down.
Conversely, repeated pressing the Game[+] button makes the Game volume go up, while making the Party Chat volume go down. Microsoft has a short video showing how this works at the following URL, www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/headsets/stereo-headset-adapter
. Hope this helps. But, lets us know if you are still having problems with your adapter.

    Good luck and good gaming,

    SA
