I make EXCELLENT money, and I do VERY well in life, but that does not excuse Microsoft for taking advantage of me as a consumer.

I have SUPPORTED the Launch (and 5 years of GOLD) and a FULL YEAR of buying EVERYTHING Xbox One has had to offer.

I have went through 3 Microsoft Brand Stereo Headset Adapters due to the flimsy junk wire used to change the 2.5mm cable to 3.5mm so it will plug into the adapter. The headset I use is a set of Astro A50 that I bought approximately 6-8 months ago AFTER I
tried the Polk 4 Shot that was ANOTHER defective product and the Near-Field Mic did not work. RETURNED. Polk blamed Microsoft and Microsoft blamed Polk. I was tired of the rest, so I went to Astro and bought the best thinking Microsoft would put some actual
thought into the development process of the adapters to make them nice, neat, and tight for the Xbox One. But no.

I also own 2 Xbox One Consoles (mods feel free to look at my account). I buy EVERY game that is released as a DIGITAL COPY.I also buy ALL of the DLC. I use Xbox Video for all of my media purchases including television shows to movies and music. I have been
a member of Xbox Live for 5 years with no gaps in my payments every year. When I need Xbox to look at my account it takes approximately 2-5 minutes for my RECENT purchases to load on Microsoft's end.

I think it is REALLY GREEDY of Microsoft to lock the license of the adapter out so that we have to continue to buy this MICROSOFT BRAND adapter due to the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable shorting out. Who in the world designed this garbage? Not that it matters.

YES I placed a service order for the adapter to be fixed, but guess what? It costs $18.00 to send this TRACKABLE to Microsoft to repair not including buying a box for $5.99 to ship it in. The Adapter NEW costs $24.99. I have had to buy 3 Microsoft Stereo
Adapters at a range of Amazon for $30.00 when Best Buy did not have it in stock because GameStop is a place I will NOT shop, although they sell for $29.99 at GameStop. So essentially I am OVER an extra $100.00 from these adapters.

At this rate I should just buy a set of the Generation 2 Astro A50's. BUT I will not. I would rather have a PS4 to go COMPLETELY WIRELESS. Is this what you are wanting me to start realizing Microsoft? That other products are seeming to WAY MORE SURPERIOR
    to yours?

STOP NICKLE AND DIMING YOUR BEST CUSTOMERS OR I WILL BE ONE WHO DOES NOT STAY AS A CUSTOMER BECAUSE I AM FED UP WITH THE RUN-AROUNDS FROM BROKEN CONTROLLERS TO HEADSET ADAPTERS TO XBOX CHAT HEADSETS THAT MAKE IT SEEM LIKE I AM TESTING A PRODUCT. I BOUGHT
THIS TO HAVE FUN AND YOU ARE TAKING THAT AWAY FROM ME WITH THE CHEAP NON-THOUGHT-OUT PRODUCT DESIGNS.

I work on Natural Gas Drilling Rigs that bring energy to homes in America. I play games to ease the frustration of knowing I could lose life or limb on a rig when I am on a drilling site ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES.

WHY IS THERE NOT A BETTER DESIGN SOLUTION FOR THIS OR LET ASTRO SELL THE ADAPTER AND A CONNECTED WIRE LIKE TURTLE BEACH HAS ACCESS TO SELL A PUCK? WHY DO THE GAMERS GET MESSED OVER?

I swear if something is not done about this in the next few weeks I WILL sell the Launch Console I have OR give it away on the PlayStation Forums and Return the one I just got and will vow to NEVER buy anything Microsoft again if I can avoid it, the same
way I avoid Gamestop. Feel free to contact me anytime.

This is not intended to offend anyone, but I am SERIOUS as a heart attack I will do as I say. The ones who know me understand I a being genuine. If someone has another solution to this please let me know, but I am seriously tired of being taken advantage
of when it comes to the craftsmanship of the Xbox One Products from Controllers to Consoles. I have also went through 2 other Xbox Ones in Advanced Exchange, received a BROKEN Day One Controller which took 30 phone calls and 84 days to receive yet ANOTHER
broken controller to which I just said screw it and bought another. Check my account. If it wasn't for my GF wanting a console to play on I would never have bought the second. We are SERIOUSLY about to jump ship to PS4.

If you knew me or were on my Friends List you would see that I am one of the most easy-going guys that gets along with nearly everyone so I am NOT just being a jerk.

I would like a reply from a Moderator for my records and please no automated response from someone in a 3rd world country that is going to start out by "I understand your frustration". I have had enough. I just want a QUALITY PRODUCT and by the way things
are going with game releases and equipment for Xbox One it does not seem like Xbox One was a good choice. You can make it right but you do not have long. I will be patiently awaiting a response.

    :)

    KERplunKIN,

First, there was a lot of extra information in your post that just makes it harder to read about your actual issues (i.e., that you work on rigs around the country, the threats to go to playstation), and the all caps in places is the equivalent of yelling
on the internet, which is unnecessary and does not encourage anyone to read your post and respond/help out.

You are welcome to take your money to Sony and buy a PS4.

The length of time you've had an xbox or the amount of games you buy does not help in this post at all because that is irrelevant. Those things do not make you a better customer than anyone else on this forum or throughout the world. You are simply a customer,
no better or worse than any other customer. All customers will be treated equally, because that is the fair thing to do. Obviously your perception of how you are treated is going to vary from other customers based on what your ideal outcome is and the what
the actual outcome is. So I am sorry that you had a bad experience while dealing with Microsoft support and these issues with your console and controllers.

I have a polk 4-shot headset with the xbox adapter and have not had any issues. One suggestion I would have would be to make sure you carefully unplug the adapter and cable from the controller when you do so, because pulling on either of those is the wrong
places will damage them, and that is just a fact of any electronic device.

And as a side note, of course Microsoft will take a license out on their products. They are a business, they exist to make money, the same way Apple develops their own lightning cord for their new devices. They will do what they can to increase profit. Which
is why there is also competition. Apple vs. Dell vs. HP, etc. Microsoft vs. Sony.

So if you feel that you will have a better experience with Sony then sell or give away your Xbox and purchase a playstation. However, if you would like to get your issues solved then please be concise about what you need help with and be patient so that
someone that has a solution for your issues has an opportunity to read your post and help you out.

Xbox one Chat Pad not working

Hi Spooky. I am having the same problem. I have a standard Xbox One Controller and just received the Xbox one Wireless Adapter for windows and the Xbox One Chatpad.

    The Wireless adapter works perfectly.

But with the Chatpad, all I get is the moderate blinking of the orange LED.

I read that the controller needs to be updated in order for the Chatpad to work, so followed the instructions to "Update via PC" found here:

    support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

Sadly the "Xbox Accessories" App for Windows 10 only shows me a picture of my controller and does not offer the needed update (I tried connecting over usb and the wireless adapter)

    Can anyone help us?

    Kinect adapter unvailable

Same. We just upgraded to the xBox One S. Nowhere did I see it packaged with a Kinect or read anywhere that the Kinect was incompatible. The Kinects appear to be getting phased out, as none of my local stores had any Kinects or adapters. I'm really disappointed
that this device and the games became obsolete so suddenly. There's no way I can justify paying half the price of the whole console for an adapter to make the Kinect work, one that should have been included. Our only option now seems to be to sell it and and
all of the games that go with it. I'm very unhappy with my purchasing decision and disappointed with MIcrosoft for the shady upgrade=obsolescent practices that's so prevalent with all the major tech companies. It shouldn't be this hard.
