Xbox one adapter cuts of using on Surface Pro 3

I have a Surface Pro 3 with windows 10 and every time i use the new Xbox one adapter it cuts of after 20-30 secs.

Done every thing as instructed on support site.

What i found that seams to have fixed it was to go to the microsoft download centre online and down load the older version of drivers.

Delete the new ones and install the old ones on to the addapter. It will then tell you cant run the adapter as drivers not valid any more.

Then uninstall and download new drivers to adapter via normal install ways and seams to be working.

I will let you know if it comes back in a few days.

Does anyone have any information on Miracast functionality, on the Xbox One?

Surface Pro with (Windows 8.1) and Xbox One, using Miracast:

• Receive only? – By using Miracast.
• No sending? – By using Miracast.

I was hoping that, with Windows 8.1 and Miracast. That the Surface Pro would be able to:

• Display all that is on my Surface Pro through the Xbox One, on to my big screen HDTV
  
• Use the Surface Pro as a game console of what is playing on the Xbox One, to focus on the game while
  
  what is action playing on the Xbox One on my big screen HDTV / the wall that it is projected on.
  

So I was hoping for Receive and Sending, from/to Surface Pro with (Windows 8.1) and Xbox One:

• Training, installation of a new procedure, Dog and Pony show.
• Full immersion into a game, where the surface Pro is what you are focused on and the HDTV is the peripheral vision.
  

 

My Strategy For Xbox - Xbox Games Playable on Surface Pro 4

We already know that, with the coming of Windows 10, you will be able to stream games from the Xbox One to another device. I would recommend taking this one step further. When the Surface Pro 4 releases (presumably this summer with Windows 10), there should
be a sku that contains within it the hardware sufficient to run Xbox One games (combined with some rather complicated software emulation). The Surface Pro 4 would not have a blu ray player, obviously, but would be able to access the Xbox marketplace and download
digital games to play on the Surface Pro 4. Adopting this strategy could have several impacts:

(1) It could create a new market for the Surface Pro 4--the gamer--increasing sales and brand recognition of the Surface Pro 4.

(2) It could increase the sale of Xbox One digital games. Since Microsoft receives a cut of every Xbox One game sold (and a bigger cut of every Xbox One game sold on the marketplace), this would create additional revenue for Microsoft.

(3) It could increase the Xbox brand, because it would expose Xbox to a new market that would not necessary buy a gaming console.

(4) It could increase the sale of Xbox One consoles (notwithstanding the fact that a player would not need one to play an Xbox One game), on the theory that people playing an Xbox One game on a Surface Pro 4 may want to take that same experience to a bigger
screen.

 

Nope lasted one day.

Still the same problem.

Just ashame when its a Microsoft product that dont work with your high end machines.

 

Well Captain I Kirk you're not alone, I've already contacted support about this issue but the support (The Netherlands) doesn't seem to have the hardware and they're claiming to have it before they do. But anyways, I've got the same issue and also got some
extra issue regarding keeping the connection alive. I've tried a lot of things but i feel like I've just purchased 120 euro's worth of junk. I've manged to record the issue i'm having.

 

Same thing happening here. It worked fine a couple weeks ago. I tried today and it connects, I can stream for about 30 seconds, then the controller seems to disconnect. The white light on the adapter still shows as solid white and the controller is on
and shows as connected. I hear a sound that I guess means it disconnected. I have the latest X1 update (new UI) and the latest Win 10 updates.

 

I rebooted my SP3 and it seems to work again at the moment.
