xbox one acts like it's connected to internet but isn't

I just moved into a new house and got a brand new spectrum wireless internet install.

My tv, both phones, and laptop connect to the wireless internet just fine.

The xbox however does not. Selecting the wireless network and putting in the password, it says it connected.

When I go to select my profile and log in to xbox live, it tells me I need to connect to the internet.

Going into settings to look at detailed statistics, it tells me, 'you need to be online to see network statistics'.

I've tried resetting the router, hard xbox reset, forgetting the network and trying again, nothing works. I even removed the account from my xbox to try and start new. Now I can't get my account back because I can't get the internet to work.

I called spectrum and they say everything looks good and they can see my xbox connected to the internet.

Does someone please know what to do?

Thanks for the reply. I went and unmarked the answered one for you. Please keep all inquiries here on the same post. At this point since you have tried all troubleshooting except ethernet cable. We recommend to try that first. You can pick one up relatively
cheap. Reason for this, is the wireless network hardware could be bad. If you are able to connect with the ethernet cable then it just narrows it down for a repair.

Couple of things to try.

Turn off both phones and the laptop and power cycle the console to see if it connects.

Use wired ethernet cable from console to your network hardware (recommended).

Hello Blue,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend clearing the alt mac address. To do this go to settings>general>network settings>Adv. settings>alt mac address>clear and restart. Also as the ambassador mentioned try an ethernet connection.
