Xbox One acting like a wireless hub/switch/router?

I just downloaded an app called Wireless Display(preview). When I open the app the xbox airs a network called "DIRECT-FSXbox-SystemOS4249". I cannot connect to it because I do not have the network security key for it. So how do I acquire this key for
my own xbox?

Hi, this sounds like a incorrect security key to be honest, are you 100% sure you are using the right one from the Hub menu itself (not one written on the hub)

So as a test what happens if you try setting the Wireless interface type: to 802.11N 40Mhz on the Home Hub followed by "Apply", will the Internal Adapter connect?

Doing this will switch the Hub to N mode only meaning no Wireless G clients can connect , so this will affect any other Wireless G only clients

 

Just found out that you need a device that has the ability to connect wireless to a projector. Now I still need a pin. The pin it asks for is the WPS pin. I have no idea where I can find that. It is not on the service tag. Did not come with instruction
manual. Help?

Sorry you're having problems with your app. That app is to cast things to your console. So if you have a tablet you can cast your screen to it, thus displaying your tablet on your TV through the Xbox. If this is not working correctly please post on the
preview forums below. Also see if you have a quest for it. Likely if you do there is a how to on getting it to work correctly.

For some reason it won't allow me to access the forum. It states Group not found when I click on the link.

 

u need a app called mirecast of play or windows for it to work plus you do not need a security key
