Xbox one achivements in Different Language

Not sure what happened to my TitanFall. Was fine 1 months ago with Achievements in english. Now they are showing up in German. I live in switzerland, and I don't speak german. I speak french and English.

But now that Destiny is out this is annoying as now all the new Achievement I am getting are all in german.

The only achivements I have left in english are Battfield 4 and Forza 5.

Whats the point in me snapping my Achievement to the right if I can't even read them.

This needs to be changed in upcoming update. As If you google search " xbox achivements language" You will see lots of complaints.

My understanding and what would make sense from a network. It's using my Geo-location IP address saying I am in Switzerland so I must be swiss German, So lets put the achivements in german. If you want to play that, that is racist. Because I live in the swiss
french part of Switzerland.

I have seen post in the xbox Feedback Page and I have voted. This needs to be changed for people who want there Achivements in english.

If Someone my MS/Xbox support see's this, please push this case.

Different Languages

sometimes languages do get mixed up, luckily for Halo you can change it to English via the game settings.

I personally think the reason German sometimes gets selected in certain games might be caused that Germany is a neighbouring country of the NL, that assumption isn't the best.

Other times the language is a mistake and usually is fixed in future updates.

The best option to do when you encounter a game in German is to reach out the game devs (or sometimes Xbox Support) to see if they can do anything about it.

As a workaround, which you already used, you can set the language to English (and leave Region to NL) and that should work fine.

I’m Dutch and I have my xbox set on Dutch, but a few moths ago I bought “Vampire” and that game was totaly in German. I tryed to find where in my languagessettings it said German but I could not find it. So I changed my settings to English and than my game
turned English to. I thougt maybe the gamedevelopers diddent know dutch en german where diffrent languages. When I stoped playing the game I set my console back to Dutch.

So today I wanted to play Halo:The master chief collection and again the game is in German. Every game I played between does two where in Dutch or English.

So I’m a bit confused to why this is happing and how to change this. My xbox has al settings set on dutch, my microsoftaccount is set on dutch. I really dont know how to change this, so I was hoping that someone knows how to fix this. Because my German sucks.

And switching between English and Dutch everytime I play a diffrent game takes forever.

I have exactly the same problem as well.

Everything set to UK for region/language but I'm based in France and all my achievements are now in French (I can't speak French) only achievs though nothing else.

Was fine a few months back so something with a system update has buggered this up, very annoying.

Update: Achievs on Xbox site are fine and in english, and using same IP so either Xbox One uses IP to get achievs language or its a bug.

MS please fix ASAP.

 

ok spoke to Xbox Support here is an excerpt from the transcript, going to try it tonight:

Angeli H.: Alright. Please try to do the hard reset first on your console. To do this, while your console is on, go to home. Then, remove the power cord at the back of the console, wait for two minutes then turn on the console again. If this does not work,
please try to clear your systems cache.

Angeli H.: Clear Persistent storage by going to Settings > Disc and Blu-Ray > Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage > Clear it three times. After you have done clearing Persistent Storage, please go to Settings >> Network >> Advanced Settings >>
Alternate MAC >> Clear Alternate MAC.

Angeli H.: Turn the console off completely by holding the power key for 5-7 seconds. Unplug power supply.

Angeli H.: Press the Menu button on your controller.

Angeli H.: Select Settings.

Angeli H.: Scroll to the right. Under OTHER PEOPLE, select Remove accounts.

Angeli H.: Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Choose this person.

Angeli H.: Select Remove from this Xbox to confirm.

Angeli H.: When you're finished, select Close.

 

Thanks souly, I may give this a try. But from a IT network view, this doesn't makes since.

Here is why.

Where I bought my xbox One I had some achievements from dead Rising 3, forza 5 and Rise of rome all in English. It wasn't untill I got Titan fall that some achievements started showing up in German. and yes I do say some. I have some in english and some
in german. With Destiney out all my achievements are all in german.

Now here is something to note. I bought my xbox one from launch in france. The xbox one release date for switzerland was 1 year later (around Destiny release time).

This would make sense since the swiss xbox servers were not active before and I still had my amaerican account working fine. This is due to the IP address locations. If I am on the website or on my tablet or on my xbox 360. All the Achievements are in English.
This is only happening to me on the xbox one.

This needs to be fix or have a option to decided what language you want for achievements
