Xbox One achievement problems prevent games from being completed

Crazy thing is and it just shows how much notice I take when I go out shopping with the wife but I've never seen/noticed them before. I've made a note and will definitely buy some if possible next time out shopping lol

 

I like getting achievements, but if I can't get one because it's glitched it doesn't take away my enjoyment from the game. I've been playing games 5 times longer than achievements were around so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me.

I suppose if you started gaming last gen and that's all you knew than it's a different story I guess.

 

Yeah, when I get an achievement, I'm like, "alright!" But I don't actively follow or pursue achievements, so if I don't get 1 when I'm supposed to, I probably won't even notice. Even if I did, I'd simply be like, "well, that kind of sucks" and leave it at
that, because I know from past experiences that it's usually because of a bug, that others will complain about and that will inevitably get fixed, and retroactively rewarded at some later date and time in the future. If you see this happen, feel free to report
the issue, so it can get fixed, but otherwise, I think it's rather useless complaining about it, so don't do that.

 

Way to derail the thread GG. This thread opened our eyes to the fact that there are people in this world who don't have access to Hot Pockets and you're going on about achievements.

Just because we live in the US and have access to all the Hot Pockets we want doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned about the less fortunate. So keep it on topic ;p

 

The only way to get a game on your completed list on Xbox is by obtaining every achievement.. That's why glitched achievements stop the game from completion. Even if you finish the game it will always show has being incomplete. This might seem trivial but
it's actually quite a challange to get games onto this list and requires a lot of effort. I'm competetive and believe gaming is about competition. Some others are happy to just play on their own without any goals, I'm not one of those people and neither is
the majority of Xbox players or they wouldn't bother going gold. So how can people who have gone gold claim they have no interest in wether the achievements appear or not.

 

Also has for the length of time I've played games I was here when Manic Miner was made and have played since Pong. I played xbox when their was no achievements but turned to EVE online for 10 years and I'm taking a 2 year break from game. In the mean time
I'm trying to get has many of the Xbox One games I've purchased on my completed list and have a long way to go but I'm constantly hitting problems. The reason I bring this one up is because there is no remedy so this game can never be on my completed list
which makes the title valid.

 

Mykill100 Achievement hunters like yourself are in the minority despite your claims to the contrary. We don't pay for gold to get achievements. We do it to play online. Achievements are just the cherry on top.

Also Hot Pockets are awful.

I can see your complaint/concern being valid for the achievement/trophy "completionist" that go OCD when they have a game on their played list that isn't at 100% but by looking at your games played that doesn't apply to you.

I have a horrible completion percentage ( I refuse to do collectable achievements ) and looking at the games we have in common I likely have a higher completion percentage than you do. On one hand your telling us you're competitive yet you'd be below me
on the TA completion leaderboards and I'm not a competitive gamer. So I'm confused.

 

Completing a game to me means getting to the credits not getting an achievement does not prevent this from happening

Its not really confusing considering I only switched back to gold in early February. Since I took my break from Eve I've been gathering friends on my list who are trusted and creating teams. I did hope to get 3 completions before I started Titan Fall on
Xbox One, these completions require no online play. Sleeping Dogs, Murdered Soul Suspect (only delayed completion because I have 1700G for this 30 days and I like to be on top of leaderboard) and Saints Row IV. If playing through to the credits means its completed
that would be around 90% of games I didn't ditch because they were rubbish. Yep I decided to get what fun and competition out of the new console that I can but from what I've read in the forums there are people being banned for landing in a hacked game so
its took sometime to get trusted players by getting my current friends to send trusted players on their lists. Its just the new console really I would still be on the PC gaming if it wasn't for the Xbox One. I'd expect you to be way ahead of me on completions
with your score. My 30 day score is 1700G I'd have to keep that up for 7 1/2 years to get to where you are so I cant see how you can compare me with you. In Eve which is likely the most complex competitive game in the world I have a kill efficiency of 94%
I've only been competing on xbox for 2 months online

I guess I'm looking at it from the "accepted" view of when someone refers to completionist. Gamerscore is irrelevant.

Here is your TA page, your at 32%. If your looking to "compete" with other gamers you'd have to go back and finish a bunch of games or start another gamertag.

Most people that do that are completing everything they play rather than just random games on their playlist. If your not familiar with TA it's a good site ( leaderboards for everything) and there is an app on the One for the site.

 

im having this problem with RYSE. i heard the achievement got added on friday it is worth 100G it says unlocking, done

Done unlocking is some kind of lagged effect on xbox one, you will get that achievement usually within 3 days but you never see them pop. Well I've never seen the pop but have had a few. If the achievement is glitched it won't show any blue bar.

Yes that's what I'm doing, has you can see I only got TA a couple days ago and most of my games are completed but the online achievements. There's actually quite a lot of achievements missing on that page. From where it says I started Destiny and had to
stop because I still haven't sorted the connection problem there's over a hundred achievements up to starting Saints Row including fully completing Sleeping Dogs.

 

I dunno xbox support on twitter said i need the game

 

You must play the first level in Ryse again in order to unlock that achievement,even though it say's 100% unlocking.,same with any of the 3 new achievements on Ryse.

Only achievement I've not had unlock was for killing 10 Dragons in Dragon Age & that one is down to the developers as it's a game glitch.While annoying it's not the end of the world & didn't stop me from completeing the game.
