Xbox One achievement error. Code 0x87c40011

Yep i'm unlocking them now!! It still says the 20 achievements that i got while it wasn't working are done and are in the process of unlocking, but i just started a game and got the achievement for playing on the 15th of November.

Okay all credit here goes to dan aw loe, but here's a simple walkthrough....

Go to settings, then scroll down to "My Xbox". After that select "My Background". And then select "Achievement art". When i did that it opened the app right up.

Now I'm just keeping my achievements snapped up on the screen so i don't lose it again.

 

Dan aw loe, you should re-post that as a Suggested Answer, because this is working!

 

Just an update:

I'm also now able to look at my achievements on xbox.com as well. It just looks like i'm going to have to do all the ones that i did while it wasn't working again. So everything i just did yesterday i have to do again today.

 

And now all the achievements i got yesterday are popping up. Either this works for some reason, or it just so happens that he suggested it right as they fixed the problem. Thanks dan aw loe!!

 

Seems like it's working now...but any achievements I got have 0gs....is this going to be resolved??

 

Hi guys, my achievement problem happened when i went on halo the master chief collection and tried to change my player i.d. and the game just restarted. I decided to check my achievements and I got the error code. I was getting the achievements and everything
was working fine for the past week when i got halo but today it just doesn't let me get anything relating to achievements or the player id. Hope you guys at Xbox can fix this.

 

I don't know what happened but my Xbox automatically restarted when I turned it on, and my achievements app finally worked.

I didn't lose any achievements and the achievements that I should of received were there.

 

The same thing just happened to me just now what is going on...

 

Here's something weird... I was playing AC:Unity and during that game, some achievements for MCC popped up as earned... When I went to go check the achievements app, I'm getting the same "Something went wrong" message that the rest of you are getting.
Hoping for a fix soon, Microsoft!

 

Hopefully the xbox team will figure out what the deal is. I have not earned an achievement in the MCC all day. And now I can't even access my achievements through the OS. I just get the "something went wrong" error message. This kind of sucks.

 

I also cannot access my achievements and they are not popping for Diablo 3 or Destiny. I am going to be very annoyed if the one from Destiny doesn't unlock. It was the one where you have to kill one of each class all at once in Crucible.

 

Same for me while doing some achievements in COD:AW. The suggested answer also didn't work for me, I still get the error.

 

Yeah, I had no luck with the suggested background change fix either. Just tries to open the app fullscreen and gives the 0x87c40011 error instead of the 0x87c47500 error when using snap.

 

My current issue is that I have 75 completed achievements in the MCC for a total of 580 gamerscore. When viewing my achievement app fullscreen (and viewing achievements on xbox.com) it tells me I have 74 achievements for 570, but when viewing MCC achievements
in snapped mode it has the correct totals. I cross checked the achievements from the snapped mode with xbox.com and all the achievements are present in both, just one isn't being added to the tally on xbox.com. Not to mention the 4 or so "unlocking" achievements
from Tuesday still.

 

I believe that is a different issue, probably related though. The issue a lot of us are experiencing is that we cannot even access the achievement app/snap to check if the progress of an achievement is at 100%, but locked and no achievements are even popping
when they should be.
