    Xbox one 'a' button not working on home screen.


    When i'm on the dashboard, pressing 'a' just makes the selected thing flicker, but does not open it. Sometimes when i hold it down for a couple seconds and then lift up and press again it will work. The button works with no issue in-game. It's worked for
    a little bit as well if I unplug the xbox for a bit and then plug it back in, but after turning it off normally and turning it back on it reverts to the same issue.

    Mines been doing this for atleast 3 days now, I've tried absoloutely everything I could, and still no fix yet, smh.

    Try updating your controller and doping the hard reset guys see if that helps

    I have the same issue. Updating the controller and hard resets do not help. I find that mashing the A button quickly at least gets me where I'm trying to go.

    i even tried the xbox one Remote controll, its not working there as well i cannot start anything where i need to use A

    Can't Add Any Profiles Error 0x80a40002

    I found a work around. No idea if it's permanent or not. Remove your profile from the Xbox One. Return to home. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to clear the cache. The screen will go black, and the Xbox button on your controller will begin to pulse.
    Release the power button, and the Xbox will turn on, this time going to the green "Xbox One" screen. After it returns you to the home screen, proceed with re-adding your profile and signing in.

    Same here.

    My issue started happening yesterday.

    In some games if I can actually get them to load, it's like the A button is pressed down all the time.

    I updated all of my 3 controllers to the latest firmware 1.1.2228.0 this morning and it's still happening. Very annoying.

    I know it's no consolation, but at least others have the same issues so something is awry. Keep me updated with any news and fixes yeah?
