xbox one 640x480 only option on resolution under settings

They xbox one has been fine for two years, then two weeks ago, when it was turned on it came on in 640x480 mode.. a restart corrected the issue this time.

Yesterday, it did the same thing.. but the restart and multiple resets did not correct the issue? What else can we try at this point?

Same thing happen to me I have xbox x on a oled 4k lgc7. I have been u hooking the hdmi when I want to use my projector for 1080p native 720p on a vivibright. The picture has been great for a yr for a cheap projector clear only alittle blurry in the lower
corner picture perfect on oled TV. But last night when I hooked it up to the projector no sound problem with hdcp and picture quality was like 640x 480 on projector instead of 1080p or naitive 720p. Nothing I did in all settings on both machines could give
me sound or change picture quality back to how I have been using for 2yrs. So I hook it up to the Nintendo switch and behold 1080p resolutions and clear picture with sound working from projector but xbox x isn't working on it anymore anyone know why? It was
all good about a month ago...

Have you fixed this. The same for me. Stuck in low res.

Hello Huey,

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning the inability to now switch the TV resolution setting on the Xbox One console.

We recommend trying a power cycle
of the console.

If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the
console, reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out first and let us know the results.

OK so first thing How do you have your console going to your TV through HDMI? DVI?

If HDMI go into settings go down to display and sound go to video output which is probably where you are seeing the 640X480 setting under display then go over to video fidelity & overscan on that page you want to make sure under display it is showing auto
detect or HDMI if showing HDMI then on the previous screen you should be able to set the display resolution to something other then 640X480
