Xbox one 5.1 bluray : issue

Hi

ive tried several setups ,and i concluded that 5.1 playback on xbox one is bugged for movies (bluray)

all test i did , shows that sound for rear speaker are also coming from front speaker

in games , or netflix, or USB files, no 5.1 issue

Just for bluray playback

it needs to come to MS ears

:)

I thought the same thing. But when I leave everything the same. Unplug my xbox one, take the same hdmi and plug it into a bluray player on the same input it sounds flawless. Woke up and still no buzz. Just wondering now if anyone has the issue of 5.1 and
7.1 not coming out in 5.1 or 7.1?

 

5.1 Optical Audio Output broken

In games like Forza Horizon, I get 5.1 audio just fine. But in all other instances of audio output, I only get stereo? BlueRay is only stereo, apps like Grove and Spotify are only stereo. YouTube Dolby 5.1 Test is only stereo. I use an Optical cable to plug
the output of the Xbox One to my Samsung Home Cinema 5.1 system. I have enable Optical Digital Surround in Xbox One Settings.

At this point, I am clueless as to what to try out next

Sorry to hear about the audio issues. What troubleshooting steps did you try? How is the console connected to the TV and the Sound system? Is it directly though HDMI or are you also using an Optical audio cable.

the same setup is working on PS4, perfectly

the exact same setup works perfectly on ps4 and all surrounds are as intentend and supposed to be
