I downloaded the blu ray update today, 34mb, and all went well, put in a 3d movie, played but has no voices, has 4 sections from top to bottom of different shades of colors. It is all pixelated and very choppy?

    Any ideas guys?

    :)

  3. xbox one 3D blu ray playback

How is the xbox one supposed to be the next gen all in one system when i cant even watch 3D blu ray movies. I have over 30 3D movies and i have watched them all multiple times in 3D but im still required to have a 3D blu ray player because the xbox one doesnt
have 3D playback. I hope microsoft adds this feature later on. Just curious if anyone else feels the same. Even the ps3/ ps4 has 3D playback i feel like this should be an important factor going from DVD (xbox360) to blu ray (xbox1).

I am having similar issues. Played one movie fine, but playing a different movie tonight and am getting the 4 shaded sections at random points throughout the movie but not all the way through. This really needs some attention from Microsoft as 3D blu ray
is one reason I eventually opted for xbox 'all in' one. I know its a fairly new feature to the console but surely that is what the update preview is designed to solve issues.

  5. Damn...so the 3d bluray update isnt all that great? I was hoping this was going to work because that would save me alot of money and space not having to buy a seperate 3d bluray player

All Blu-ray players use software for playback. It is called firmware and generally is user updateable. The Xbox One is a proper Blu-ray player that has issues at the moment. Lip sync and no 3D playback among them.
Sorry if this has been covered before but does anyone know when 3D blu-ray is going to supported as my player is on its way out?
Why not buy a 3D blu-ray player its not like they cost much and the Xbox One uses software for Blu-ray playback unlike proper Blu-ray players.

I don't need to download an app to use my Blu-ray player and it updates its own firmware.
