    Hi all, noon help needed pls

    Got and set up my boys xbox one last night, all good it seems.

    All his friends only have a 360, and he tried a 'party'' ? Which didn't work because they can't hear each other, not sure if they can join ?

    Can u have chat, or party between an Xbox one and an Xbox 360 ?

    xbox one and joining a party

    Xbox One and Xbox 360 party systems are not compatible with each other. You can only join other Xbox One players in party chat.

    You can chat with Xbox 360 friends using Skype though.

    anyway to patch xbox live party chat for xbox 360-xbox one and vice versa?

    main reason i loved xbox live was party chat.

    requesting a patch to let xbox 360 players and xbox one players join each others party chat

    Voice communication between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 is not supported. The only way to communicate is via text message. Sorry, I know this may not be the news you wanted to read.

    Ok, thanks Xbox one / 360 chat / party :) does this also mean they won't be able to talk if playing the same game ? One kid on xbo and one on x 360 ?

    Xbox One and Xbox 360 party systems are not compatible with each other. You can only join other Xbox One players in party chat.

    You can chat with Xbox 360 friends using Skype though.

    Xbox One uses better audio than Xbox 360 (One has Skype audio tech thingy). I agree I'm a bit bummed too. But I will keep playing my Xbox 360 until they end XBL support for it so I can chat with my friends and get on the appropriate console when I do.

    I think Xbox 360 is sticking with only 15,000 XBL servers worldwide where as Xbox One will have 300,000 Azure XBL servers worldwide.

    I hope the party chat feature on the Xbox One is -VERY- similar to the Xbox Live Party Chat on the 360. Seeing a group of avatars in a party on the Dashboard. And being able to easily change party chat to open or Invite-Only. I hope this is what this Skype
    party chat will be like too. A lot to experience when Xbox One comes out.

    Yes you can have a party on the 360 with ur 360 friends and play on the Xbox one, you can even have be in a party chat on ur 360 and a different party on your xbox one at the same time if you wanna wear to headsets at once.
