@ Lofty, sorry this is a bit late.

LMAO well you don't want big burning holes in your jeans pocket, or needing to buy a new wallet all the time . Much better to just buy them I think lol . Any reason is a good reason to grab a new game.

As far as Aliens goes, I am really enjoying it but progress is slow, real slow. I'm often spending 40 minutes sneaking along, I get within sight of my goal. And, yep you guessed it, dead again. Then back 40 minutes and off we go again.

As I say I really do like it. Well there are more things I like than dislike. But it can feel a chore because of the saves. i am not great at the game which obviously doesn't help.

I was given some tips by a couple of the guys on here, and it seems i am getting close to a point where I will be able to defend myself a little. (Just doing a medkit mission for a fellow shipmate, the woman who was injured when
trying to board the Savastopol. Going in an area that really looks like the Nostromo, and the Alien has stepped it up. If that rings any bells?.).

I think once I finally get there I might enjoy it a little more, or feel like I am wasting less time because I die, diee, DIEEEEEEEEEEEE. (Comedy shout).

I gotta say the more I hear about Shadow of Mordor the better it is sounding. And yeah!, like yourself I am a big Tolkien fan, much to my miss's delight . nah she loves it too. The lore sounds good, anything with more info is tops.

But yeah it's definitely sounding good. I went in GAME yesterday to grab it, didn't realise it wasn't out on the 360 until the 21st a' next month, was a bit gutted. The guy there mentioned something though, you might be able to help.

The Nemesis system.

Is it something that adds to the game?, he told me that the 360 version does not have this feature. I liked the idea of it and in your opinion would it wreck the game to not have it. I might have this wrong but he also said some kind of 'take possession'
system would be removed too?.

Quick edit: I'm thinking that's what Genchy is referring too, that sounds cool, so would miss that taking control of bad guys.

 

The nemesis system is what makes the game special and different from other games, in my opinion I wouldn't get it for the 360.

 

It does sound like it would take something from the game. Going to google it and check to see if both features are missing, its possible I heard wrong. Poor show if it has been removed, seems integral.

 

Grey Pilgrim if that is true I would steer clear, it just wouldn't be the same game without the nemesis system. Is that confirmed the 360 version doesn't have it? It's kind of a core game element?

 

Just Googled and the 360 version has the nemesis gameplay, I can't see any difference between the two versions as far as gameplay goes.

Bought an XB1 today loving the new features... Looks more polished with the extra features big improvement since the launch. Have they implemented the compatibility to play video files / use tversity yet?

 

@Don - you can use it for full DNLA streaming now, will play MKV as well so TVersity isn't really needed.

Wonder why the guy in GAME told me that, glad to hear it is still there . And apols for the late reply had to replace my laptop so was the first chance to get here.

 

It seems America is getting yet ANOTHER price drop on the Xboxone on November 2nd of $50, that's around £30. If we get the same over here then it will be £299 for a xboxone, and retailers will do there own throw a game in bundles.

So it seems at last the xboxone will be where it should of been 12 months ago, no kinect and a £299 price tag. Might start selling now. It still amazes me ANYONE paid £429 for the thing less than 12 months ago.

 

I was just about to pre-order a console, think I will wait a little to see if there will be a further price drop.
