    This Xbox is like a child to me, been smooth sailing for the last 9 years however it seems like its time is coming to and end, im not ready to let go just yet. Has anyone got a clue whats going on with it?

    Recently when i plugged this bad boy in after taking it back home from university, the xbox would turn on with the button lighting up then suddenly cut out and turn its self off, this issue has progressed over the last ffew days and now the only thing that happens when i press the on button is the sound with no light on the button.

    The power bricks LED turns white for a split second when the button is pressed but goes straight back to orange, a ffew days ago i could slightly adjust the power cable in the xbox and it would work after adjusting the cable and getting the xbox to stay on for longer than a seconf, however, this does not work anymore.

    I’ve restarted the xbox with the sync,eject and power button but all that does is make the noise and cut out before the tune has had a chance to finish.

    I assume this is a hardware issue but please feel free to let me know anything you may know about this issue.

    Power Brick Fan Sounds Like It's Going To Explode

    I've got the same problem. Everything else is fine. When I power down the console the white light stays on and there is a fan noise from the power brick. It's very annoying. I've taken the console off power saving mode so now the power brick LED turns orange
    and the fan noise stops. Like yourself, I wish to know if I need a new brick or is this normal?

    Press and hold the power "button" (XBOX symbol on console) until the LED on the power brick turns orange. Then go back to the game and it will work!

    Indeed, everything seems to indicate that the problem is hardware.

    Try restarting the power supply with the steps indicated in this link

    At the end of them you are presented with 2 scenarios, if the power supply LED remains active and the console does not turn on, you should take it to a technician in your area, as Microsoft stopped offering services to that model of console.

    If the LED is blinking or remains off, you will need to replace the power supply.

    Xbox one problem

    Please try unplugging everything from your Xbox One for 5 minutes. Then reconnect everything and try again. Also what color is the LED light on your power brick?

    Do you have an original Xbox One, an S or an X? If you have an Xbox One original console try the following steps to reset your power supply:

    1. Unplug the power brick from the wall and from the console
    2. Wait no less than 10 seconds (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi....)
    3. Plug the brick back in to the power outlet but not the console itself just yet.
    4. If the LED indicator light on the power brick has a solid light, try plugging the brick back into the console without turning on your system just yet. If the light is flashing or off at this point then the power brick would need to be replaced.
      Microsoft does cover this if it is within your consoles warranty. However, if the light is still solid after plugging the console back in then try turning on your Xbox.
