    Xbox One 1tb Crashing


    My system crashes all the time. I will be in the middle of a game(any game, it is not title specific), or even watching netflix, when the system will freeze up, play a glitchy sound briefly, then crash entirely. Often once this happens it also gets
    stuck in a reboot loop where it cant even load the home screen. It will stay on the green screen for about 30 seconds then reboot again. I have gone through the troubleshooting steps on microsofts site but the problem keeps reoccurring. Unplugging the console
    for a bit helps for about 2hrs or so but inevitably the crashes begin again. I am reluctant to send this in because the problem is somewhat intermittant and im afraid they will find nothing wrong with it and just send it back.

    Thoughts of HDD not being replaceable?

    I see why they don't allow it... it may cause hardware failure or crashing... or so they say.

    The good news is USB drives are cheaper. I just bought a 1TB USB 3.0 drive for $60.

    If you're still having issues after unplugging and doing the other troublshooting steps, I'd suggest a factory reset
    (deleting files). If you find after that you're still having problems with it hanging during boot up, and after a couple hours of play you may need to send it in for repairs using

    Thanks Hydro. I have been avoiding this solution as i have a terrible internet connection and getting all of my games back up and ready to play will take forever, but if it is the next best step to take then i believe that is what i will do.

    If you have an external hard drive thats USB 3.0 you can copy your games there, and not have to re-download all of them.

    So i have tried the factory reset now. I did both Reset and Keep games/apps, and Reset and Remove everything and the problem persists. I do not think it ever deleted any system updates though because each time I reset it it never downloaded system updates.
    Is there a way to make the xbox reset its system updates?
