    Xbox One 1TB (3,5mm jack) no mic sound


    Hello everyone!

    I have brand new Xbox One console, that is bundle with Forza Motorsport 6 and 1TB hard drive. The problem is, that when I connect my standard headset to the controller (3,5mm jack), Xbox can't hear sound from microphone. When I try to record voice message,
    xbox records silent. Ofc, microphone volume is on. I've try to update controller, reboot console, but it is not working. I can hear my breath in headphone, but Xbox can't get my voice. Can You give me some advice? I'll be grateful. Headset looks to be fine,
    i tried to connect it to my iPhone and it works well.

    My mic and audio is messed up!

    My headset works perfectly fine in a computer, it has a 3,5mm jack. When I plug it in it seems to have a loose connection (it crackles), I bought a stereo headset adapter (official). I could hear the game sounds through my headset finally again, but my microphone
    was then disfunctioning? Can any one help?

    2.5mm 4 pole jack plug to 3.5mm 4 pole jack socket

    So will the headset and mic I use on xbox one via adapter work with the 360 if I just use a 4 pin adapter

    Mic and game sounds working fine on xbox one and PS4, I see there are 4 pins, and 360 is 2.5mm

    Try different headphones. Some of 3,5mm jacks are made differently. That you are not able to use mic on Xbox. Like for my beats mic is not working, but on my earphones AKG I got to my samsung phone it is working.

    How come once I connect a headset to one of my controllers, I can't use the headset for other controllers?

    I've been having trouble with my mic not working properly on one of my controllers. I figured out that my controller was the reason why my mic sounded bad. I tried to connect my mic with a better working controller and I couldn't talk. I looked at all the
    settings and couldn't find an solution. I think the mic is linked to the other bad controller in some way.

    is it an Xbox Official Headset (or Stereo Headset) or a third-party one? Do you use an adaptor or do use the 3,5mm jack on the controller?

    3,5mm Jack isn't always the same there are 2 standards, so please check it. Try to use an adapter. Maybe the 3,5mm plug or socket is also damaged.

    Not exactly an Xbox specific question, but how do I get sound out of my VGA cord?

    You need to plug it into the mic jack on your laptop. The headphone jack outputs sound and the mic jack inputs sound. You might also need to tweak the sound settings by right clicking on the speaker in the system tray and clicking on "Recording Devices."
