Xbox one 1080 with Onkyo TX SR-608, Verizon Fios, and Xbox One Apps...Come on Microsoft

well here is another issue I found Xbox when used with a Onkyo TX-SR 608 either does not support 1080i or fails possibly due to HDCP. I don't know if this a requirement but I had this issue with one of my old Verizon boxes where I had to run everything
in 720 because the Verizon DVR box was unable to perform the HDCP handshake through the receiver. Verizon eventually got it patched. This is killing me because right now the one doesn't have that many games, at least not that many titles. I was shocked that
when I went into apps because the one only has about a third of the apps I have on 360 and I can't use One guide fully because it can't find the DC Metro Verizon FIOS channel lineup. I almost feel like I have a giant paperweight. So supposedly this is supposed
to be the all in one but I can't really use One Guide, less apps, and The games aren't there yet. How can you not be ready for all these things.

12:00 AM EST - Verizon Fios 50/30

Xbox One - Took around a minute but got to 3850 kbps @ 1920 x 1080 (Wireless)

Windows 8.1 PC - Took the same time as Xbox One and got to 3850 kbps @ 1920 x 1080 (Wired)

iPad 3 - 2 seconds and went strait to 4300 kbps @ 1920 x 1080 (Wireless)

 

Where is HBO GO

SAFLEY, the Verizon FIOS app just popped up on Xbox One today, so I guess the One is getting the TV apps, also. Not sure what you get with this other than the live TV, since I do not have Verizon.

 

Xbox only supports progressive outputs, 1080p and 720p.

If you are having trouble, perhaps try a higher grade of HDMI throughout your setup?
