Xbox on x connection lost online

Hi All,

I have brought an Xbox one x 1 month ago.

All was fine until I started getting logged out of games saying connection lost. For the record my internet is fine and have checked all of this.

I have been through all troubleshooting steps on xbox assist - all are fine. I.e connection, nat, restarting, uninstalling game.

After uninstalling it went back to normal for a day however it's back again worse than ever.

Can this please be fixed or do I need to send the xbox back?

This is with the only game I play Halo 5 I have a disc and download copy of the game.

This is probably a server issue. You can check Microsoft's outage page when it happens, but this isn't always up to date.

Other issues could be bandwidth. If there are others in the house who are watching Netflix or using other bandwidth intensive programs, you may be vying with your family members and creating a bottleneck on your router.

Hi there,

I would recommend a power cycle of your home network. This means to turn off your Xbox and router/modem and then unplug them from the mains for 2-3 minutes. This dissipates any data that can interfere with synchronisation.

After the time has elapsed, plug everything back in and retry. Hopefully when you sign in, your account will have refreshed properly and you should be able to play.

Sorry to hear it. Please try shutting your console down and unplug it for 5 minutes. During this time unplug your modem/router for at least 60 seconds to clear any local issues with your connection.

If this does not help then please try a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud.

Please also remember that there is an unprecedented amount of people both online and on the servers due to the current issues. This could cause lag in your games and connection.
