    Xbox on with sound only.


    I have tried multiple HDMI cables, and monitors. I’ve tried the fix where you hold the power and the eject button till you get two beeps.....didn’t work. Is my console dead? Has the HDMI connection failed? All help greatly appreciated.

    Sound issue - game sound only

    I'm having this issue every day. Only fix is a hard restart. System UI sounds work fine. Getting real annoying to randomly start a game to no audio.

    I haven't experienced it since doing the console reset (don't recall where I found the option - under admin settings or somewhere)
    Oddly I just had it happen again but it resolved when I closed the game (home, options, quit) and restarted the game.

    K - fixed it. Had to reset the console (reset all but kept games and apps) and it resolved. Before I tried the games I also took the time to open up all the recommended ports in my router.

    Are you able to connect your console to a different TV

    1. with the same cables you normally use?

    2. different cables maybe borrowed by a friend?

    So you can check, if the issue is referring to the cables or the TV.
