Xbox on Windows keeps dropping games installed on Hard Drives

Every once in a while, when I start up Xbox Games all of my installed games are missing and the App won't recognize my Hard Drives. I have to go through this Powershell Process to uninstall Gaming Services and reboot my system. Only then do the games I have installed show up again (since the Xbox App recognizes my hard drives). Why does this keep happening?

The most likely reason is that you have canceled updates without stopping them. The update process corrupts the original files until it’s finished, and it will automatically delete the game if that happens.

It would help if you give us examples.

Since reinstalling the gaming services solves your issue, it is probably something related to it. But this is really odd, since as far as I know the gaming services is not something necessary to recognize hard drives on the Xbox app.

Had this issue always been happening on your computer or it started happening some time ago?

Does your computer have Windows 10 or 11?

Thanks the response. Are you attempting to install the Beta App on a hard drive other than your C: drive(Windows Installation drive)? If the Xbox Beta App is still giving you issues will being installed please try restarting your Windows 10 PC and

checking your PC for updates.

Hi, sorry for that issue, the problem is the external hard drive, for some reason (I don't know why), the games that require Administrator approval have issue on external drive.

Thanks for the answer. External hard drive it is not the problem in my case. While trying to find a solution to this Xbox Game pass for PC / Windows Store error I did reinstall Windows 10 on my iMac's internal hard drive. The problem with error 0x8007001f
persists even when Windows 10 is installed on the internal hard drive.

Game Pass games use protected folders, and if format Windows, it no longer recognizes any game even if it is on another external hard drive or hard drive. If you install it on a Windows or PC you don't recognize any of the games.
