    I have finally found a solution to this problem. Microsoft support gave it to me.

    1.) Press start and type "cmd"

    2.) Right click and press run as administrator

    3.) type "net user "Test" add (Replace test with a profile name)

    4.) When it says successfully completed sign out and log into the new profile from your home screen

    5.) Link that new profile to your Microsoft account and now all of your windows store and Xbox services should work (To link the new local user to your microsoft account press start then settings then profile then press link to Microsoft account.)

    After trying the suggestions here, I noticed that I was having a problem with my computer's account, not the app nor Microsoft account. What I mean by this is that I couldn't sync my stuff to the One Cloud, turn on automatic updates of the apps in the store,
    and would occasionally be told that I need to have admin privileges to do some things, even though I was on the admin account (and the only account on the machine). this happened on every account I made on the machine, regardless of whether it was set up tied
    to my Microsoft account or not.

    What I had to do was factory reset my computer (downgrading it back to 8.1) and updating it to Windows 10 again. Thankfully I just got the computer I was having problems with, so not much data was lost.

    I'm still having this problem. I've tried everything in the thread that doesn't require a factory reset, and nothing works.

    Hello Tin, I would recommend sending tootall20050 a PM. Hey may have worked directly with Rooks for a solution for I don't see any specific thread that is related to his info.

    Sorry for sign-in problems folks are having! Yes, we're tracking issues related to sign-in not working. I believe there is an OS update coming that will hopefully fix this for folks.

    In the meantime, one workaround that has worked for a few folks:

    1. Create a new local account on your machine

    2. Connect that one to your Microsoft account

    3. Log into the Xbox app from there

    Hey everyone! Thanks to Rooks, my Xbox app is working again. There are two directories in "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker", Accounts and Cache. Each folder had one file in it. I deleted
    both those files and then when I started the Xbox app up it was working again. You should be able to just copy/paste the path I put here (minus the "") inside File Explorer.
    i found Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy but AC\TokenBroker was not there
