Xbox on other devices error code: 0x3fb

I just wanted to say that Fozzy's method of setting the application preferences to automatic did actually work for me though it didn't at first.

[ windows key + r]

type comexp.msc... etc

For me mine were already set to automatic so nothing changed and I still got the error. But I tried it again but disabled all of the services and rebooted the PC then I followed the instructions again and it worked.

 

there is a god..... after trying all the fixes i could find the past couple weeks i finally found my solution to this

okay my problem was not only did i get the error code: 0x3fb trying to sign into the xbox app but when i booted up windows store it would let me navigate through but whenever i tried to download an app, and it would have me sign in to download it, i would
also get an error message that i couldnt sign in, i believe it was "sorry try again later or something of those lines " so i couldnt download any apps

this fix was briefly described but im going into thorough detail for the people like me that have no idea what they are doing on windows 10 yet

1.go to settings then accounts

2.under your account highlighted it says "sign in with local account instead" click on that and go through the prompt make a password to use and it will sign you out.

3.sign back in with the password you just made.

4. go back to settings -accounts

5.go back into "your account" and scroll down under "your picture"

6. you will see at the very bottom under "other accounts you use" a windows symbol next to your primary windows account you are having trouble signing in with, click on that account and click remove (this only removes your account temporarily not permanently
deleting your microsoft account so do not fret)

7. Launch xbox app

8. you will be prompted to sign in for the xbox app, click on sign in with Microsoft account and put in the exact account you just removed and was having problems with

9. home free, this not only fixed my problem with xbox app but the store sign in as well, after you are able to log back on go back into settings - account because you will need to re verify your microsoft account again via the verify this account link right
by the sign in with a local account instead at the top

i hope this helps at least one person because this was the only thing that was bothering me about windows 10 for the past couple weeks, if this doesnt solve your issue then try the link above and if that doesnt work good luck your going to need it

Ive tried 3 identical computers, reinstalled windows 8.1 and 10 dozens of times. 0x3fb error that technical support cannot get the codes for xbox app. They refer us to every department with absolutely no solution. Very stressed buying a $500 machine and
it won't even work to play xbox one.

 

Nothing and I mean NOTHING works to fix this problem, false advertisement of supporting xbox one windows 10 pcs

 

Just spent the last 3 hours trying to fix this issue too. It had been working last night then suddenly stopped today. Only difference, new Windows update.

My fix was to uninstall the updates that had just been downloaded the night before. Still didn't work so put the updates back in. Now it starts working with no issues (for now).

 

Hello, the best solution is to remove the Xbox app and reinstall it, it's the only way that has helped me, so I leave the steps.

1º Home and seek Powershell, right click and open as administrator

2º Copy and paste the following command.

Get-AppxPackage * xbox * | Remove-AppxPackage

3º Restart the computer

4º Go to the store and install the app XBOX

I've been having this issue too. I have it on a laptop and a PC. The laptop worked fine, but I get the error on the PC. I tried to delete the folder as suggested, but I's not there, the only other folder in Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC
is Temp, no TokenBroker.

I also tried to convert my Windows account into a local account but I just get a vague error saying that it couldn't. It still shows as a local account afterwards though; I have tried this tree times with same result.

I created another local account to see what would happen. I never get a sign-in screen, just the error. again, this other account has never been associated with a Windows/Xbox account.

I have also tried Piriot's suggestion, but just got an error message saying that it couldn't find something. I then tried it as *Xobox* (ewithout spaces) and it said that it cannot be removed on a "per-user" basis and an admin needs to go to "turn windows
features on or off" to uninstall it. I could not find anything related to Xbox there.

I went into the windows store, downloaded it from there (apparently I can install a program that was already installed). Nothing changed.

 

Tried all of the above , the problem remained.(error 0x3fb) ?What delti dulse?

 

my windows 10 wont let me watch my clips etc :/

 

Hi Rooks, i have tried all your steps, still no luck for me, i cant open the store and my i cant sign in on my xbox/microsoft account on any app or in the settings tab

 

Tried the fixes here - thanks for the efforts so far, but still having the same error. Any more help will be great!

 

I had the same issue too, but I fixed mine. If you have recently changed your log in on your PC from your Microsoft account to a "local user," that might be the problem. Go to users, and go back to the microsoft account. you should've have a problem anymore

 

I'm not able to sign in due to this issue so please someone help me........

 

Tried everything that has been posted in this thread and still can't get the app to run on my main gaming computer. My 2 other systems are fine.
