"Xbox On" insufficient IR signal for Panasonic TXP G10 TVs

The IR burst the Kinect sends is not of sufficient length to turn the TV on.

When done with a normal remote this model requires signal for about a second of you holding the power button down.

IR sent by Kinect is the correct signal and is received by the TV as you can see the power LED on the telly start to flash, it's just the signal does not continue for long enough for the device on.

Xbox One not always turning on attached devices

You probably don't have ghosts lol but your soundbar must have an IR sensor ?

I have the same problem with my Panasonic TV - sometimes the xbox fails to turn it off and has never been able to turn it on because MS didn't program a long enough 'turn on' IR burst for many models of Panasonic TVs.

This issue was fixed a couple of updates back I'm pleased to say. Thanks to Microsoft for the constant updates to the system.

I have a problem using the "xbox on" command, even when I put the Kinect right in front of the sensor it still doesn't work. It registers the signal as you can see the light blinking, but the signal is not long enough to turn on the TV. It's because with
a lot of Panasonic TV's you need to hold down the power button on the remote for it to turn on and the signal the Kinect sends out is too short. As soon as the TV is on however every other IR function works perfectly. Hopefully they'll sort this soon.
