"Xbox on" feature useless?

I can't understand something. When you turn the Xbox on by saying "Xbox on" shouldn't it turn the controller on too? What good is this feature if u have to push the big button on the controller to turn it on? That will be like turning the Xbox on normally.

"Compare games" feature

How come this never works for me? I've tried to compare games with dozens of people, both on my console and on this site, but all of the other peoples stats just show dashes. At first I though that probably just meant the other person didn't play the same
games as me. But I've tried with people I know have played the same games, because I can see a matching game icon under their avatar, but I still only see my own stats and dashes for theirs.

Is it just me, or does this feature not work for anyone?

Nope not useless. Sometimes I just run my Xbox on and use Netflix or Hulu, don't need the controller for that.

 

^kinda, I use just voice commands for TV and streaming. So I do use it alot.

 

Ya I see what u mean if u only use voice commands. Would be nice though to add the controller to the voice activated on.

I didn't know that Beaufort, I don't use Kinect, and yes it's kind of daft not having it turn on the controller, there should be an option to have it do that for players that are just gaming with the console.

I agree with many of the comments regarding multiple controllers or the people who don't necessarily need the controllers to do things other than play games.

Besides, unlike the console, I'm fairly certain that the controllers don't have a low-power state. When they're turned off, they're completely turned off (to save on battery life) - this means what you guys are asking for will never happen until they add
the hardware to support such a feature (which also means you'd have to buy a new controller).

 

Is it that hard to boot up a controller? It takes 2 seconds while your console is already on, whereas booting the console with the controller will take 13. Sorry.

 

I dont even understand why one would think Xbox On would turn on the controller. When you power on the console using the button on the console does the controller turn on? Also wouldn't the controller would need to have a built in mic to power it on with
your voice?

 

some of the complaints we see daily.. some are actual complaints.... some are just ridiculous
