"Xbox On" does nothing and Xbox losing connection to TV once it is turned off.

I have tried this several times and several different ways for over a month now and nothing seems to work. I have to turn the entire system on separately (TV and cable box as well). The Xbox often shows an error saying that it lost the connection to my
TV. I have to restart everything to get it to work. Surely there should be an update for this? I have seen many other having the same issues. Too much money to spend to be having all these problems...

    :)

    Can't get smartglass to connect

Not sure what kind of "tinkering" you did, please explain. If I turn off the wifi on my iPad it does not work and says the app requires an internet connection to work. It then says, "Can't find an Xbox One to connect to. Is your console on, and connected to the same network as Smartglass?" I turned on the blue tooth, it did not work. I turned off blue tooth and turned on wifi and the app connected to the Xbox One. So in my case it would appear it is connecting through the router.

How to Get Xbox One to Turn TV Off with Voice Command

Does anyone here know how I can get my Xbox One to turn my TV off with the voice command? Its already connected to my TV as I can mute the volume, turn up the volume. But when I say Xbox Turn Off TV or Television, it doesn't do anything.

"Xbox On" does nothing and Xbox losing connection to TV once it is turned off.

I think there is an option in settings to keep the console in quick power on mode (rather than eco) which needs to be on in order for the "Xbox On" command to work.

This problem is irrelevant to Xbox On voice commands. Using the controller or pressing the power button to turn on will turn on just the Xbox itself. No devices get turned on and even after turning them on manually the input from the cable box to HDMI input
isn't detected (TV can't start). Quick On is enabled in my case.

The IR blaster that controls the cable box, TV and receiver is not functional when this happens.

A cold reboot, unplugging the power supply and sometimes a settings reset of the devices, is needed to recover.

I've had this happens three times over the last week.

having the same freezing here, and it seems to be getting worse. I've had to unplug and reset at least once a day over the last 3 days.

The "Lost Connection to the TV" message is annoying and happens frequently, but I've learned to be patient as it normally just takes 10 seconds for the cable box to cycle and then it is back.

2 other "annoying" issues I'm also experiencing are:

I have the XB1 going through my receiver to the TV so 99% of the time I am listening in surround and occasionally I don't get any sound through the receiver when I boot everything up. It normally just takes changing inputs on the receiver to bring it back,
    but again...why is this happening?

The other is that the XB1 keeps switching itself from DTS to 7.1 compressed in the sound to TV settings (the game sound remains on DTS). Not sure why this is happening, but it has occurred at least 3 times in the last week.

Xbox got stuck on a green screen

Also, when turning on my xbox, the tv does not detect the xbox (i've tried multiple tv's) and the xbox does not detect my controllers as well even when connecting them with a usb cable, after about 5 minutes the xbox turns off by itself and when trying to connect to the xbox using remote play it says console off. Also, it does not let me turn off the xbox.. For some reason i have to unplug it.

XBOX ONE turns on my TV but after a couple of seconds it turns off again

It's also been happening to me. I say "xbox on" and everything turns on (tv/receiver) then the Xbox One turns itself off. repeating "xbox on" does nothing. trying to turn the X1 via the controller did nothing. had to press the button on the box itself
for it to boot up....which then turned off my tv and receiver. This has happened twice (just now and yesterday).
