    Xbox on a will not connect to network


    Hi Everyone

    I have an Xbox one s that will not connect to our home cable network.

    It will connect wirelessly and it does acknowledge that the cable is plugged in.

    We have had it connected a few times but it always drops out and it seems as though it is just by chance that it will connect again.

    We have tried auto settings and manually setting the I.P. address but nothing seems to work.

    I confirmed the cable from the modem is properly connected and even run 3 different laptops on it to confirm networking.

    Has anyone experienced anything like this?

    Connected to internet but can't connect to Live

    You might want to double check the settings on your Xbox to make sure you didn't get "one number off". Also you could try using a friend's Xbox on your network to see if you can connect to XBL. If theirs connect to XBL on your network, then try connecting
    your Xbox to their network. If your Xbox will not connect to their network then you know your Xbox is the problem, and not your network or connection.

    Connecting to a Network

    Does anyone know how/if it is possible to connect to a Network that has multiple users. I moved to an apartment complex and there is one Wi Fi network to connect to. When on a computer, I open a browser and log in to the network. When I try to connect
    to Xbox Live, I get an X on the network connection. I tried adding my username and password in Advanced Settings but I couldn't even connect. Is it just not possible to directly connect to this type of network?
