Xbox offline games- games for gold problems

ok. First and for most I have one Xbox one with one account on it. Not multiple.

I am a trucker. My Xbox is connected about 10% of the time when I am at home. The rest is offline(witch is a minority of Xbox gamers that are being ignored in these updates) and last night I downloaded child of light and the pool game and I started them
both so my license could be verified on my Xbox. And today none of my games for gold titles will work at all. They tell me to connect to Xbox live to play them.

I have tried to power cycle the console. And sign out and back in.

I have other games downloaded to my Xbox and those work.

having trouble logging into my account

Have problems logging on to my game cause of the new update dashboard can't play multiplayer games cause it say I'm offline when I already a xbix gold member

Sounds weird that it only affects the GwG, when you disconnect the console from the internet to play, do you enable the offline setting? Maybe this will have some effect on how the console searches for the license:

support.xbox.com/.../enable-offline-mode

 

I set it to home as soon as I got the console. And I have tried with the Xbox in offline mode. I am all out of ideas.

 

So am I! I can only think because they are GwG it requires the interest connection, but then I would assume more people would have brought this issue up in the support forums. I'm sure someone else can confirm this for us as I haven't tried to play offline
myself.

Yeah, I would say it is because you require a Gold account to use the games, and when playing offline it can't register what level your account is.

For example, if I am currently gold and it was due to expire tomorrow, I could just download them all today, switch it to offline and the xbox wouldn't be able to stop me from playing them.

Every other game should be fine, its just the Games with Gold that will be affected

Then how come I was able to play through it beat a lot of the other games with gold titles with these won't work. And I've done the research you can play these titles off-line. I've had my Xbox since last July you think this would've came up before. I apologize
if any of that came off rude.

 

I found a work around. I am hesitate to share bc if this isn't s that should happen then they will patch it.

 

What was the workaround? I'm curious because I saw this thread earlier and tried to recreate the problem - I took my console offline and started several games I acquired through Games with Gold. However, they all played fine.

 

If you take it offline then unplug it and plug it back in and start it up with out letting it sign in to Xbox live it won't play games with gold title. At least on mine it won't. I played child of light and was online then went and then went offline while
playing and drove for a while with it still running and then unplugged it and restarted it with no wifi and it works no matter what. But the other titles won't work at all.

What I said was just a guess based on what I know of the deal, I've had a look through the T&C's and can't see anywhere that you need to be online, only that you need an active Gold account
