Xbox officially in Romania

Hello,

I would like to draw Microsoft's attention to Romanian gaming community.

Romania is still missing the official Xbox Live/Network support and after many years of struggle, nothing happened.

We are more than ready to welcome Xbox officially to Romania and someone from Microsoft needs to hear us.

We already have Microsoft Store Romania with all possible products in our local currency, except Xbox and Xbox Live.

Romania is a big country from European Union with a huge economical potential that keeps on growing every day. We deserve to have the same rights to pay for Microsoft products in our local currency as any other country in European Union. Romanians are buying Xbox consoles and Xbox Live services and games as any other gamer in European Union and we deserve to have official support.

We don't want to use other currencies and fake addresses anymore.

Romanian gaming community is huge and we are waiting for Microsoft to offer us official Xbox Live support.

This is getting a little ridiculous. Romania has a number of Microsoft IT offices all over romania, we have one of the best internet connections in the world, Xbox consoles have been sold in stores for over 10 yrs but very few people buy them since they can't play them online without jumping through hoops. We're part of the EU, we have similar laws, rules as all other countries. Not to. mention that we're basically surrounded by countries that are supported by xbox. Playstation and Nintendo both have online access and stores in Romania and they're selling very well, unlike Xbox. At least give us in answer as to why romania is purposely excluded from the Xbox live community.

as Xbox consoles are not sold officially in Romania, cloud gaming would not come to Romania at this time.

The majority of the time if xbox live isn't available in a certain country then it's because of some sort of local restrictions like government laws etc.

Pretty sure Microsoft would like xbox live available in as many countries as they can as it'd be more money for them but it's not always possible.

They are trying to get live available in more countries in the future so hopefully Romania will be one of those countries.

I understand your point, but the restrictions or government laws are not a problem here since SONY was able to launch fully the services in Romania ever since 2014, including localized content and PlayStation Store in local currency RON.

It is a gaming console with a gaming service in the same country, why should it be different for Microsoft?

Also, when you say 'They are trying to get live available in more countries in the future', do you know something for a fact, or is it just your assumption?

That store would be for the pc version & pc's aren't as restricted as consoles/console services so that would be my guess as to why you are seeing that with FH5.

The pictures are the same as it's the same game.No point in making different pictures for the same game.

As you can see, this is official Microsoft Store of Romania and games section is available there, NOT UNDER XBOX, but UNDER WINDWOS GAMES.

As you can see, there is FH5 game available in Romanian currency RON, with XBOX pictures also (OPTIMIZAT PENTRUXBOX SERIES X|S).

I can preorder this game now and it will download to my Xbox Series X (I tried with Gears 5 on Xbox One X), although my Xbox account is set to UK since Romania is not available in Locale (I have Xbox account set to UK and I see UK marketplace in my Xbox).

We can create Microsoft account in Romania with Romanian address and language, but not XBOX account.

So my main microsoft account ID can be in Romania, but my linked Xbox accounts stays in UK since Romania is not available in Xbox Locale.

How can this be possible?

We do not have official Xbox support and also no official xbox.com page, but we can see and buy games for XBOX from the Microsoft Store, in local currency RON. Again, not Xbox Store (from xbox.com....), but from the romanian microsoft store.

Please, can you express your opinion about this?

Should the existence of Microsoft Store in Romanian RON give me hopes for a future unified Store for all Microsoft platforms (Xbox, phones, PC, etc), where Romania will be fully supported and available for Xbox too?
