Xbox Official Wired headset

Why are these headsets such utter garbage?

I have gone through dozens of them in my time with Xbox, the latest one just stopped working suddenly. During games of Halo, friends told me to sort my headset as it was crackling and distorting my voice. Now it just doesnt work, Im not going through your steps of " plug it in and out " with the cheap plug it has which feels like youre yanking it out.

Nor can I actually TALK TO SOMEONE because there isnt an Live chat option. I want a new one sent, I am NOT sending this one back for you to look at it and go " yeah its cheap and garbage of course it broke for no reason "

Consider switching to the updated wireless headset or the steel series Arctis 7x both are great options.

how are you going through so many, i still have the original that came with my first xbox in 2013 and that still works fine, and my kids have used it too. had thousands of hours of use.

The power cable was unplugged for ~3 hours.

None of the things listed in solution 3 are between my controller and my Xbox. I have a wired router, and it is about 10 feet to the left of my Xbox, and where I sit to play is about 6 feet in front of it.

I have used the following headsets, all with an official Microsoft wireless controller and also an official Microsoft wired controller:

Microsoft Wired Headset

Microsoft Wireless Bluetooth Headset

Tritton AX720 (wired)

Turtle Beach x32 (wired)

Astro A40 (wired)

Afterglow Wired Headset

There was no difference in the problem I am experiencing when using any combination of the preceding controllers and headsets.
