Xbox Oe X Scorpio HDR Washed Out

I received my Scorpio edition today and got everything setup but upon checking Netflix anything in HDR is completely washed out. I have tried 5 different cables, every TV setting, and every Xbox setting I can find or think of. I
have even bypassed my Denon X7200WA completely and connected my One X directly to my 2017 LG OLED 65C7. I also have an Apple TV 4K, an Oppo UDP-203, and Nvidia Shield with HDR working perfectly fine. The LG Internl apps work fine too. The only way to fix the
Xbox Picture is to turn HDR completely off in settings.

Incorrect HDR to SDR mapping when playing UHD blu-ray on 4K TV without HDR

I own a Philips 48PUS7600 TV, which is a 4K TV without HDR support. My Xbox is the One X Scorpio Edition.

When I play a UHD HDR blu-ray, the picture is way too dark and colors look all washed out.

I am wondering if the blu-ray app is able to do correct HDR to SDR color mapping? Is this even technically possible?

Are there any settings I could change on the Xbox or my TV to fix this?

If anyone else has similar experiences please let me know!

Can't help you there, but my scorpio doesn't even detect HDR on my LG EG9600 (2015 model; has HDR on netflix streaming perfectly; I selected Deep Color in settings). Still get 4K, but can't even get HDR to work. And my LG TV is the OLED mode if that has
anything to do with anything.

 

I had some of your issues as well using an LG49SJ810V but then I discovered I'd used the HDMI2 port and apparently not all HDMI ports support the same specs on LG televisions. So I purposely plugged the X1X in the HDMI1 and lo and behold, it showed a 4K
HDR with all bells and whistles! I'm using the HDMI2 port now only for the TV decoder and have the PS4 pro plugged in the HDMI3 port and AppleTV in HDMI4. That apparently solves it all!

 

I have the b7 and the only way to get the x one x Scorpio to detect all the features of my TV was to plug my Scorpio in to my LG s9 sound bar then the sound bar in to HDMI 2. A direct connection to any of the ports only got me 4k.
No hdr, no 10 bit color, no 24hz etc.

 

Same problem here... With my Sony Bravia x90e (KD-55XE9005).

All is checked with a green mark the the video setting of the console (4k, HDR, etc.).

The correct HDMI input is used on the TV and the enhanced feature is activated (to allow 4k and HDR)

My TV activate de HDR logo during HDR content... But for some reason all HDR contents look washed out.

It is like the console send a picture for HDR that is not processed ...

The black levels and colors are far better with the HDR option deactivated in console.

I have no HDR problems with internal apps of the tv or with the PS4.

I have the exact same problem with HDR.

Moreover, in games, I see no differences with the HDR feature activated or deactivated

 

Thats strange because I have exactly same TV and difference With or without HDR is huge and colours are not washed out in games

 

Games are fine. It is HDR Video content from Netlfix, Amazon, and Bluray Player that is having the issue.

 

That's what I thought... and then I saw that blacks were a little bit more grey on the title screen of AC Origins.

Also, the colors looked quite the same in game with our without HDR ...

Same for me with LG C6V. Turning off HDR fix it for Netflix/Prime, but UHD BR still washed out.

My Samsung K8500 UHD drive works perfectly with the same cable/settings/HDMI...

 

I think it must be a bug with the Xbox apps. My Netflix and 4k UHD discs used to look great. Now they are looking washed out on the S and X.
