Xbox not working properly after today's update

Hi

Recently my Xbox One automatically updated (see attached photo below confirming time) and ever since the console has failed to work properly. Sign in taking literally 10 minutes, menus extremely laggy and you can forget playing games or using apps etc. as
nothing will load correctly. This is totally unacceptable to install an update which messes up my entire console. It was working 100% earlier this afternoon before the update

Please note I have already done a hard shutdown (i.e. hold the power button down, unplug the machine, wait 5 mins then load it up again) which did nothing. I also spoke to one of the 'gamer experts' (not a Microsoft employee but just some randomer) when
I used the support function on here and he suggested to to a factory reset. Well guess what? When I finally manage to get to the relevant section on the Settings on the Xbox, I can't even do the reset as it just comes up with the green loading circle indefinitely.

I would appreciate any help on this as I am very upset and frustrated at my Xbox no longer being usable.

NEW X BOX LIVE DASH UPDATE!!

Got the update today as well, but haven't noticed much new there. 2 restarts were used for the update to properly work.

 

XBOX apps on Windows 10 laptop not working after system update

so the beta xbox app(today), 11.11.110005.,, does appear to at least sign in and load properly, even after the windows 10 update. Hoping they fix the main one soon.

We understand that the console is not performing properly after an update applied to the console.

Is the console currently consistent in getting to a green loading screen indefinitely?

Our suggestion when it comes to slow performance and startup errors is to follow our
System Updates Solution article, as it holds all information regarding console updates and ways to correct those errors.

Try following this and if any other assistance is required, we're right here ready to assist.

Thanks for your response, but i feel like you have misintepreted my issue.

There is no green loading screen. Just one of the many issues i am having is when i attempt to do a factory reset i can't even click it as it doesnt allow me to. I'm just stuck there with a little green loading circle. In the meantime, i can navigate to
other menus without the loading circle appearing although it is extremely laggy.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox after an update. Now, what we suggest is a reset of the console since the
problem that is causing this could be in the OS of the console so we suggest a
Soft Factory Reset(while
keeping games and apps) Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Since the console is not responding properly by providing the different menus. We are going to approach this differently.

Try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
7. Select Reset this Xbox
8. Select Reset this Xbox and Keep Games and Apps

Give it a shot and let us know the results.

So I have tried this method and it would appear the Xbox is running smoothly once again. Thanks so much for your help my friend!
