    Xbox not updating when turned off in standby mode


    No matter what I try. My Xbox Series X doesn't update or download games when in always-on mode. I reset my xbox. I made sure that my hard drive stays on when xbox is off. I've cleared my games cashe. Idk what else to do. It really sucks that I have to wait for updates to install when I turn my Xbox on. Does anybody has any solutions or experiencing the same issue?

    Xbox One's HDD still spinning when it's off, normal?

    The xbox one is made to always be on even when its off. It will auto download updates when in standby. If you go into the settings you can actually disable the instant on feature and it will FULLY shut down. This will make it so it has to boot longer
    since it wont be in standby, but turning the instant on feature to energy saving mode it will completly turn it off. Note: when energy saving mode is on the "Xbox On" kinect function will not work for obvious reasons.

    dude standby mode is to allow you to turn it on wih your voice. also to do any auto updates or anydownloads you send to it from another device

    Even with instant on turned on, when you turn the xbox off it is going to go into standby mode. This includes power not going to the wireless adapter anymore. If you are wanting to install a game or any other content, you must leave the console on and not

    When people say "offline", they mean the "always on" or standby mode, not literally "offline". So turn "Power Saving Mode" off.
