Xbox not turning on correctly

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the console situation; However, I believe your console might need just a system refresh to perform the system update successfully. I would like you to go through the following
steps to perform a quick power cycle.

I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

If you are still receiving a black screen, I would like you please to kindly follow the instructions below to physically reset your console:

- Turn off the console unplug all the cables then re-plug them back again.

- Click on the "Bind" and "Eject" buttons at the same time after 10 seconds click the home "X" button just once without letting go of the two buttons. Throughout the whole process you will hear two beep sounds and end up with a troubleshooting page. On your
screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps". I hope this helps resolve your issue!

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.

I had the same problem. It was correctly positioned & calibrated but "xbox on" would hardly ever work no matter how clearly I spoke. I gave up and always use the controller to turn it on now.

You could check if it is correctly calibrated.

If I remember correctly, there is an option in one of the setting sub menus to get it to power down the external storage when the xbox is turned off

@N00B5 R US by the sounds of it is your router/modem if no other device is getting internet make sure the router is turned on plugged in correctly and when you go to set up the connection on your xbox can it see your wireless router and correctly put in
if any the password correctly if all the above has been done discconect your xbox from the internet connection and retry connecting it after that if still no internet connection turn off your router/modem off for a couple minutes and then turn back on if after
that still nothing and none of your other device are unable to connect to the internet it most likely is your internet provider hope this helps you
