Xbox not switching on

I've got an original Xbox one that wont switch on, the power brick light is orange then switches off as soon as connected to Xbox

I've read numerous forums and would like to see if anyone else has had this issue, and can offer any solutions my opinion is the console is knackered

I am sorry to hear that your console is not working.

Given the situation you mentioned above, it seems an issue with the power supply unit. But I would best advise you to try another power supply on your console (you can borrow one from your friends/relatives that has the same device) if possible. If the same
issue persist, you can process an order here -

Console not switching on

Hi,

Tried to switch power on but nothing happened- checked power pack, but no led on - tried removing all cables etc and ready connecting - still no joy. When reconnecting led on power pack will flash for a second, then off. Console still dead. If I
plug the power pack into the wall, the led is on - as soon as I reconnect to console led goes off...

Any ideas? Is it likely to be the console or power pack at fault?

Hi

Can you please try following the
Xbox One will not turn on support guide along with also following the
power supply solution and you should hopefully be able to work out what is causing your problem.

If you were unable to get the survey for the extra switch, there is no way to become eligible. You will just have to wait until a later time and try again.

Customer support can’t offer additional switches. If you’ve made five home Xbox switches for the year and need assistance, select Help when you see the message Can’t make this your home Xbox. You may be eligible to receive an exception. If you aren't given a survey, then you'll have to wait the year for your limit to reset on its own.

Hi there

The reason why it would of made a new account, is due to being on a different platform it will be automatically using his xbox account. You can log in at the epic games website, to his switch account. You may follow the steps provided here at Account
merging

There you will see how to link accounts. But definitely sign in on his primary account, being his switch account. And once logged in under settings there will be a list of options to link. You'll most likely need to sign in his xbox account to link it.
